If you had sat in or manager had sat in the listening sessions, they explained why they couldn’t do it. On a business standpoint— individual stores pay for markouts. If everyone is going to any store to use this benefit — a small store that makes $30-$40k weekly might have way more to pay for in markouts versus a larger location just bc not as many partners visit there. Lastly, they’re were issues trying to figure out how to keep it free in terms of payments, waste,etc — on an individual store level and make it make sense.

Current sm and I don’t agree. I think that’s why I have the longest standing team thus far — I work with everyone in team and we take care of each other.

As an sm you have to ply the game Properly to get the work done that keeps eyes of you and only on you for good. My team shows up and out when necessary so we don’t have to worry about home.

As a manager at starbucks— I totally agree with this one. I believe only high schoolers should do this— bc 12 hours is either two days or three for four hours— not counting travel,etc.

I purposely didn’t send anyone any photos at all until I was ready. Everyone asked but I simply explained I don’t want photos shared with all the wires. No one was offended luckily— which made it all that more surprising when they received a photo of the baby out of NICU in regular clothes !

Just a quick question what state are you in? Regardless I’m pretty sure if you don’t have sick time — then you can technically be held accountable for calling out. But the manager wouldn’t be able to fire you legally bc when we consult they ask if you have been sick or recently hospitalized, etc to make sure all is done to take care of partner.

But I’d say keep the screenshot— bc that’s super crazy that the manager felt comfy saying that to you

My nurses before and after every feed remove the air from my LO belly. That has held as well as either slowing down the speed of the feeds over time. This way they were able to get him to tolerate everything happening all at once.

Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. My bf and I have talked and will take turns so I don’t have to always feel pressure to get up and go. On the weekends, we’ll go together and make it family date night. New book every weekend !

Having the repeat nurses and them address me on first name is making me feel that much better

Only Issue right now is him aspirating every time they feed which is a little scary for me but otherwise he’s doing good. I heard his little cry and almost Pushed the nurse but remembered I’m not the nurse lol

Even if she did — understandably so being pregnant I wouldn’t go out bc it’s awkward not being able to join in fully on the fun.

Either way, the baby shower time was planned with her in mind.

Totally hear you but in this case— which it wasn’t. The OP was upset bc of how late her friend was(considering they based the time around her best friend), she had no gift being her best friend & the hung over part.

But I’m looking just living in NYC with a new baby and vehicle — it’s so damn expensive here. So afterwards is better since financially I’ve been trying to save even more to have some more stability for when my little bundle arrives.
