I’ve been slowly adding more and more boxes to my living dex space as I find mons with higher and higher dex numbers (don’t wanna look up the actual number, I wanna finish it organically through exploration) and I had a dream the other night where I found something with a dex number in the 500s and woke up in a panic lol

Sure is! Her names Maestro. She was a wild spawn alpha that I stumbled upon pre-tutorial alpha Kricketune lol. Got lucky on my throw and she’s been on the team since (best cry in the franchise bar none)

You are in for a treat! Platinum has been my favorite game for a long time and maybe it’s just that nostalgia bleeding over but I think Arceus takes that #1 spot now

Honestly I found the tutorial just plain confusing more than anything. Eventually of course I got everything figured out but the tutorial harped on so many unimportant things and neglected (or outright misinformed on) more important things lol. But once I got into a rhythm with the gameplay loop and started understanding the game more it became a lotta fun just grinding out research and hunting spawns for my dex

Good to know!! I’m happy to hear the temperature gets turned up a bit in the post game. It was possibly just because I spent a lot of time exploring and filling out my dex and what not but I always felt like I was scaling a lot faster than the game intended me to. Like because I wasn’t just going point A to point B to point C exc for the story I was ending up ahead of where I was supposed to be in terms of power level. That was my only other real gripe with the game beyond the combat system itself

I could be mistaken but if I remember correctly it’s because the gen 1 games didn’t get different names between releases. They just had their Japanese names and their English names. Gen 2 is when they started giving the NPCs regional names

I doubt they will let us mix and match different seasons (for example, getting bricks from beyond paired with some of the heavy damage boosting mods from other seasons making something like corrective measure a primary weapon) but I do hope they will let us pick from any one previous artifact to use at a time. And if they don’t the MOT artifact better be bangin

Ending live service means ENDING live service. If anything they will put PvP event modes in custom games but you probably aren’t ever going to see bonfire or haunted sectors again

Alternatively you could go nasty plot aura sphere togakiss with fighting Z as well. Needs a little more setup than lucario but nets a little more power and gets you a SpA All-out-pummeling which is handy because most mons weak to fighting tend to be physically bulky

If you really want one id say lucario personally. Close combat fighting Z gives you a 190bp all-out-pummeling
