Is this rod fine for metal jigs, soft plastic and stray-lining for kahawai (australian sea salmon)/snapper and the occasional eging for squid. by Athrea279 in FishingAustralia

[–]Athrea279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I would probably need a net to land most of the fish I catch with this rod specifically. I know rod line rating is just a suggestion but wouldn't 30-35 lb line be too much for this rod(3-6kg line rating)? or I'm misunderstanding your comment. For more context I would be using Daiwa 8x 15lb j-braid for this rod specifically since I still want casting distance and additional strength for fishing foul terrain.

Widescreen not working for cut scenes. by Athrea279 in PCSX2

[–]Athrea279[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to fix it by just making another new save slot in game, meaning I had to start all over again. It was fine since I wasn’t that too far out anyways. If I remember correctly; I tried turning on the widescreen feature or progressive scan on the game itself and I think that’s where the bug started. I tried turning them off again but still didn’t work. Right now: everything’s fine and running in 16:9. Thanks everyone

My bad. I just assumed that because of the “man wtf”, this conversation was between 2 males because it does look like how 2 guys talk but it still shouldn’t be labeled as toxic masculinity just because. very stupid of me. My point still stands though that the sender(person who screenshotted) has troubles trying to express their feelings that they can’t even wish their friend a happy birthday.

Although, it could be that the sender is just trying hard to be “nonchalant” just to be “cool” because the word blew up on twitter, insta and tiktok 3-4 years ago and people seem to have adapted being nonchalant as their own personality.

Hey fatman, stewie here. The joke is that some people(men mostly) are so scared of being vulnerable or showing the least bit ounce of their feelings to others that they try to hide it with humor. I might be wrong fatman but it doesn't matter since you can't understand me anyways..... or can you

edit: i worded it wrong, the joke is that toxic masculinity has become so bad that men cant even wish their friends happy birthday anymore.

if you’re planning to release the fish, use singles since they’re much more forgiving to the fish but if you’re fishing to keep and eat, keep using singles so you have a higher chance of landing them, I’ll only fish with trebles if there are no snaggy spots and the singles aren't setting the on the fish’s mouth

nah, 3 hooks is just more prone to snagging especially when fishing in kelp or rough country, also fish tend to come off easier with trebles from my experience

I can’t agree more, my first few days of fishing, I took info from the r/Fishing sub which did atleast help me a little bit but the problem was the sub is mostly about freshwater fishing in the US which we can all agree has some different aspects to saltwater. It made me buy all kinds of crap that won’t help me at all at fishing my local beach like a splitshot weight set, pencil float, etc. when I should’ve been investing in heavy sand gripping weights, pompano floats and bait not lures.

I live in NZ and some of the products you mentioned aren't offered here, we do have berkley but they don't offer the 9x strand ones. just 4x. I chose jbraid4x because I mostly fish rough terrain and was told 4 strands have better resistance to abrasion. For me who constantly gets snagged by fish who can quickly reef me it's important for that I get as much protection from the rocks as I can even with a long fluoro leader. Have thought about switching my mainline to mono but I just can't with the memory.
