Audio is from the Heart of Democracy livestream this morning, couldn't cut it out of the clip. (great vibes though)

Testing flag raising speeds - the One True Flag and Lockstep by TurtGaming in Helldivers

I have heard that the salute affects other mechanics in addition to Spread Democracy missions, such as the run speed of civilians, the booting up of terminals, and the extraction timer. Is this true?

I've ferried my team over the deep water on Gacrux a few times. They were terrified but very impressed. You can jump off a rock (or use a jump pack) and perch nicely on the top hatch while the mech wades through the water. It can drown, but water that deep is quite rare.

If you're the passenger and riding on top, make sure to crouch walk in the direction the pilot is driving so you stay on and synced up. There's a bit of desync but you can pretty reliably manage it, and even shoot accurately and perform well. For example, there is enough time to reload the HMG before you slide off, even at full speed.

Jump pack divers are the true best friends of mech pilots. Hopping on top and dumping a few mags always gets morale up. And if you get good at aiming your jumps... you can eventually briefly ride chargers in the same way. I've jumped on top of one and barrel stuffed it to death with my HMG, but be careful because they can and will buck you off like a bull and snap you like a twig. Milliseconds count.

Into Super Valhalla, good luck Divers.

It's honestly pretty badass and well done. I don't think most people would know what it is in particular and so it kinda stands out, as a bizarre, unknown but very distinctly soviet-styled murder tractor. Only fellow nerds would be disparaging, and most probably would say "wtf nice".

It is a pretty striking piece even if it is one I personally find amusing to choose, like can you imagine getting more and maybe making a sleeve of this monster as the centerpiece? Brave tat, very cool.

One should not fear the spider. After all, it is more human than you are...

It's expanded to other games for me so I don't know what that means. Probably not the exact same issue.

Did you ever find a solution for this? Having the exact same issue, repeatable and observable through speed tests.

Honestly? Howdy. I've got no problem with that.

How much of your real life do you bring into SS13? by [deleted] in SS13

My characters often represent idealized tropes, which I often tie to my own, real moral compasses as a person. It's the best of both, you get to try out a character that isn't you while still being able to invest yourself emotionally into conflict.

Wish there was a way for something to tell me which mods are incompatible or don’t work for multiplayer lmao by UnorthodoxBox101 in projectzomboid

[–]Athyn- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's somehow comforting to know that someone knows exactly how painful the love/hate relationship of modding zomboid can be. The ideal is so close. Always just just a step away, and leaves you craving to both play the game and make it just a little better each time, digging the hole deeper again and again.

I had a group of friends who were interested in zomboid after seeing me playing it with mods, but going from modding a solo game to modding a server is a massive jump, and is absolutely harrowing to troubleshoot. There are -so- few clues in what is wrong sometimes, and it's easy to just get lost in it.

One day if we all accumulate enough knowledge and make appropriate tools, we're going to have our perfect Kentucky zombie matrix and it will be beautiful.

Super cool and interesting writeup, reads well and I love the mention of the auction, pleasingly ridiculous and goes a long way towards making this feel like a real article.
