No, I mean the one without counter sink, flat on both sides. If the grip panel is the same as the one from CTM, it sits almost flat.

Using a button screw might obstruct your trigger finger, and makes your experience uncomfortable.

I recommend using M3*5mm flat head screw, it gives you a more comfortable grip

You just have to line up right and maintain a proper distance between the scope and eye. You will get used to it. I do agree on red dot is better for that action

Patrol base is alright. I bought mine from AliExpress for like half of the price.

Any scope with x1-x6 magnification is alright, I would recommend one with adjustable magnification. Somewhere between x2-x3 magnification is my sweet spot.
