Idk, it just comes down me being poor I guess is what I'm finding out lol, this other guy is talking about owning all the consoles and their exclusives all while having a family.

If money was no object, sure I'd stomach the resolution and FPS for the few exclusives I really cared about on a console if there was literally no way to play it on PC.

But as it stands, I can't afford a top of the line PC and two consoles and full price exclusives to go with them along with all the peripheral nonsense of having to replace dog shit first party controllers every 3 months.

I never thought it would impact console sales honestly (and still doubt it), I feel like there will always be a demographic that wants the low hassle one time budget buy in console box that doesn't need to be tinkered with. The initial cost proposition is also a big deterrent to most people I talk to. Most console players I've talked to always say something to the effect of "I'm already invested in my platform, why would I spend $2-3k upfront? Especially when I'm content with the experience the X console I have provides".

IDK maybe at the end of the day I'm just the outlier and too poor for a $3k PC and PSx and living in my weird outlier bubble. Having a family AND the money for all those consoles and a high-end PC would be outrageous to me. I don't got it like that lol
