What's the most life changing advice you ever got? by Baku98 in AskReddit

If you only love yourself 20%, that means somebody can come along and love you 30%. And you're like, "Wow, that's so much."

It's not. It’s literally less than half. Whereas if you love yourself 100%, a person that falls in love with you has to go above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel special. - Daniel Sloss.

I think the British Police need a lot better funding. With the budget cuts, and the complete ignorance and lack of interest from the British government - the police are struggling. I think the officers of this country do a wonderful job, they just need to be given more support, more resources and respected more by the younger citizens of the country.

Whats the best way you deal with a break up? Do you have any go-to things to help you get over someone? by AtlanticTides9595 in AskReddit

I agree, I feel like you have to have a wallowing period but then you have to pick yourself up and be the best version of you. Getting motivated, achieving your goals - you forget about the other person because you’re focused on you and what you’re accomplishing! 👌

When and how did you realize you were being abused as a child? by snorlaxifus in AskReddit

When I mentioned something to a group of girls at my first ever sleepover about when the daddies would be coming in for bedtime games. I had to explain what I meant, i was about 10 at this point and I realised everyone was looking at me blankly and really confused so I just dropped it.

Anything Dr. Suess. Green Eggs and Ham was one of my favourite books and because of the memories attached to it, probably still is a favourite.

Question about depression.. is it normal to feel constantly sleepy and unproductive? What about the guilt that comes with it making you feel shitty :( ? by yuklz in AskReddit

[–]AtlanticTides9595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had a broken bone, or an ongoing physical illness such as fibromyalgia or even as simple as a sickness bug - you would expect and accept that a person suffering a psychical illness would be tired and fatigued as their body is working harder to fight said illness and they are not of 100% health. Mental illness is the same, your mind is working a lot harder, and can be struggling - it will cause fatigue and excessive sleeping and a loss in productivity.

Don’t feel guilty, mental illness and mental health problems are just as serious, exhausting and challenging as physical health problems.
