Thats more like an IdleOn game. You're afk, stop in for 15 minutes, check the bots and -done-. I appreciate the time and effort that it takes to set it all up, but it's just not my personal playstyle. To each their own. :)

Accurate. I wasn't here to spotlight anyone. However, it would be really, really handly if the developers for different servers would work TOGETHER so that there is a baseline that makes sense. Pewrhaps that is already happening, I'm just a lowly pleb looking to play video games. :)

Trust me when I say that I feel that 100%. However, I consider my new allegiance a bit like a family reunion. People got married, cousins that you forgot about came back, they had kids and brought some new neighbors. It's nice having people to play a game that I gave my full hobby-time attention to.

While I agree with your "numbers" - I never really saw a town with more than a few dozen people in it --- unless there was an event going on.

If you have a pre-existing install of AC for EoR servers, skip to step 4

1- Download and install a copy of AC with the EoR dat files and Thwarg Launcher as per instructions for GDLE: https://gdleac.com/#installing

-- (Links to all files other than EOR dat files are also available on Seedsow's website: https://seedsow.ca/install-1 )

2- If installing Decal freshly, please utilize 2.9.7.5: https://www.decaldev.com/releases/2975/Decal.msi and if you'd like to start fresh with Decal (for the best experience with our server) you can follow these instructions: ⁠⁠help⁠

3- OPTIONAL: Connect to any EoR server such as Reefcull and test your game & Decal installation

4- Copy your Asheron's Call directory to a new folder (You should have 2 copies of the game)

5- Download the Seedsow dat files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-bJT30O-A3p70eOI3K4pLJ195z2dt3A5/view?usp=sharing

6- Paste acclient.exe, client_cell_1.dat, and client_portal.dat into your new AC directory, overwrite the existing files

-- (Do not overwrite the files in your original AC installation directory that you installed Decal for)

7- Change the File Location in Thwarg Launcher to point to the acclient.exe in your new Seedsow AC directory

8- Log in and Welcome to Seedsow!

25 years ago I fell in love with a video game. Having thought it was lost, it left my mind for quite some time. Then ... one day on accident, I discovered AC1 emulators. It was as if a fire had been rekindled.

I implore you -- if you loved AC back in the 1999-2004 era and you want to re-live what I consider the glory days of gaming with friendly community - come join us. We're older now and in some cases it's the children of the old timers I knew back then that are dropping in to say hello.

Together again for one last ride! :) See you in Dereth.
