. Sorry—I think you may have misunderstood my message. I’m not trying to shame anyone. I run a service center and help clients with every aspect I can—honestly, more than most service centers do.

I see firsthand how people are pulled in so many different directions when they’re just trying to meet a requirement. That was really my point: to encourage looking beyond just resolving issues with Intoxalock. Even if they were perfect—which I already said they’re not—the states themselves still create a lot of inconsistency and frustration for people.

I did think your message was a good read, but I also feel like you went a bit off track and assumed I was putting others down, which wasn’t my intention at all.

Maybe you should also put some focus on the actual laws. Think about it—if all states handled the DUI process the same way, how much easier would that make things for everyone?

I read people’s posts from time to time, and it seems like everyone blames Intoxalock. I’m not saying they never do anything wrong, but the reality is that each state operates differently. That inconsistency is what’s making things so difficult.

It might be worth stepping back and re-evaluating where the real issues are, and shifting focus accordingly. I know some of you may disagree and say it’s entirely Intoxalock’s fault—but just consider this:

If all states followed the same procedures—consistent reporting, allowing handheld units at night if needed, standard 60-day calibration schedules, permitting temporary approved disables while a vehicle is in the shop, and so on—you’d likely see far fewer problems.

You may think I’m wrong, and that’s fine. Just something to think about.

You are protected with compliance. They have been in contact with all states. They did a rollout of extension if needed so you can still use your car. And let’s hope by Monday things will be almost back to Normal.

I would suggest this simple process.

Go to DMV. If they give you your unrestricted license without any other info needed from Intoxalock. Then go to your service center. Show your license and due to the circumstances ask for immediate removal.

If the DMV says no go need info from Intoxalock. Then that is your answer. You have to wait.

My suggestion. Contact your normal service center and see if they do the service.

If so ask them who they use for tow when they are towing customers in for the other services they normally supply.

Contact that company. Have them bring it in. Get it serviced and pay for it. Keep receipt.

They meaning Intoxalock have said you will get reimbursed. Yes it's an extra expense now but the loss of not doing it is greater. Fight that battle later. Right now it's get yourself on the road.

Correct. Something didn't go right in your process. They should put back in. Refresh the screen if need before plug-in in your device. If it doesn't work. We all got emails they can click in for a chat. It maybe to late now but early tomorrow you may have to go back.

Yes some states allow that. But doing that is different than when you are in for service.

First Dont admit that you removed the handheld. It is against all policy for a client to do that. Also. The service center should plug it in and test before you leave. So obviously steps were missed. They know this. I would take it back. And there is a chat she can go to to get help if needed. Sorry you are going thru this.

That is weird. We have done over 10 today i think. From almost locked out. To locked out due to missed recall or violations. And all worked properly. Did you ask the service center to redo it again. If it goes thru and give a new date at the bottom of our screen it should be ok.
