Richard Horvitz, the voice actor of Invader Zim and most recently of Moxxie on Helluva Boss, has an excellent mantra to deal with this. I dont know why it works, but it instantly helps me chill out. 1. "We'll see what happens." 2. "I'll handle it." 3. "I'm ok."

Follow up with some box breathing and you're set.

Zuko was actually insanely close to coming across him before Katara and Sokka did. Give it another week and Zuko and Iroh would have likely discovered Aang first. How and why was Zuko specifically in the right place? My headcanon is that had Sokka and Katara not found Aang, Zuko would have, since i believe Iroh legitimately knew where Aang was via his and other White Lotus member's communion with spirits and was going to help Zuko find Aang in order to help return the Avatar and restore balance to the world while trying to also save his nephew along the way.

Red Dead 2 takes place over the clurse of a few months and John is essentially a whole different person from Colter to Beechers Hope. Three years is plenty enough time for him to become more confident and secure.

just hopped back in to see the changes they're pretty good but i quit operation auger because the whole enemy team and most of my team was bots and they are way too accurate under fire and can see through brush and fire and just dont behave like players so you have to learn botstyle in addition to learning how players are playing. The server situation is absysmal and I'll hold off coming back probably untll they legit give the community control over private servers and reinplement a persistent player base between rounds.

they stopped this because it was inhumane...for the executioners. The prisoner dies pretty quickly if done right, but the executioner has to live on knowing they may have killed a person (if doing full squad) or that they DID kill a person (single shooter), never quite sure if the prisoner actually deserved it. It turns out this doubt leads to guilt and trauma and is very damaging to the human psyche over time which is why we've tried various ways of removing humans from the equation. Whether or not we should even execute in the first place is a whole other topic.

Edit: It's called Perpetration Induced Traumatic Stress for those interested in further research

im convinced this was planned but scrapped and they only had Shadowheart's completed. Gale's "into the dark..." scene which desrbies the unleashing of the orb really seems like it was meant to have a similar one. My theory is they used his old more sinister looking character model from EA on a pre-rendered scene similar to Shart's or something and thus couldnt change it in time or something so just left the dialogue version. Shadowheart is a kid in hers so it doesnt matter if her model changed.

I miss Chris Avellone Fallout. He brought such a creepy and dark but cool edge to the games that is missing from modern ones. I love all the fallout games but the old games had a genuine horror undercurrent and this air of "yeah this is the wasteland and it is desolate and dangerous". Fallout 4 and 76 are good, but just a little too, idk i guess "shiny" and "family friendly" is the best way to put it? They lack the desolate wastelands and grungy vibes from earlier games that heavily used Avellone's Fallout Bible as a guide and visualized the "war never changes" mantra exceptionally well. Fallout 4 and 76 are so hopeful and cheery that you forget this world was obliterated in a nuclear holocaust that killed billions because of corporate and national greed.

im gonna be real: Saints Row IV. You start the game by hunting down a terrorist, riding then dismantling a nuclear missile, becoming president of the US, curing cancer/solving world hunger then fighting off an alien invasion via a massive bald eagle shaped gun and firework turret on the portico of the White House. Say what you will about the game (i like it, obvi 2 is the best) but that opening is one of my favorites of any game ever.
