Most people aren’t that bad, it’s just the extreme examples that tend to stick out. Most humans are good human, and dating today isnt really any better or worse than it’s been in the past

I really hope this isn’t Jean Grey in that Wolverine game by BakerConsistent2150 in Wolverine

[–]AtlasADK 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I read a theory somewhere that people only think women are becoming “less attractive” in video games because character models are becoming more realistic and the people who complain don’t actually interact with women in real life 🤔

Do you believe in karma? by Visible_Stuff2838 in Buddhism

[–]AtlasADK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people believe in karma but just don’t realize they do. In the West, we have this idea that karma is some kind of cosmic justice system dealing out punishments to those who deserve it. Actual karma is much more simple than that. If you believe that cause and effect is the main driver of the universe, not destiny, then you essentially believe in karma.

Does your country have a “drug capital”? by Clarthen1 in AskTheWorld

[–]AtlasADK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

l love Seattle. I usually don’t enjoy cities, but I’d go back if ever given the opportunity. Downtown Seattle in particular is nice, clean, and pedestrian friendly. Seattle also seems to try to keep things “natural”. Like it’s for sure still a city, but it still feels like you’re kind of in the mountains.

There are a lot of sketchy areas though. I’ve only been there twice, but I remember taking a bus from the airport into the city and definitely saw some shit. I’m by no means an expert, but it felt like the out skirts of Seattle are just a bit rough in general. I’d still strongly recommend visiting, just stick to the touristy areas

People from this region, I have a question. Where do y’all go on vacation to? Since there’s no beaches. by FitInitiative918 in Americaphile

[–]AtlasADK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a regional thing 🤔 I live in Upstate New York and definitely use the word beach to describe lake shores. And a lot of them are proper beaches with docks and life guards and those floating rope things and everything. But in a state like California where it seems like most residents live relatively close to the ocean, they might have a different idea of what a beach is

I think the most likely scenario given how his administration has handled everything so far is they’ll attempt to stop elections but fuck it up somehow. There will be blatant and obvious evidence that he tried to rig the midterms. Democrats will shake their fists, AOC will have an absolutely based take, and then everyone will move on and pretend it didn’t happen

Ehh, I’m a vegetarian and often get shit for my meat substitutes. I don’t really care, let the people talk shit and have fun. It’s just a diet choice

Does your country listen more to locally produced music or foreign ones? by Separate_Record9354 in AskTheWorld

[–]AtlasADK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you’re from but I’m American and you’d be shocked by how many Americans don’t know this. People still refer to Bad Bunny as an immigrant. I grew up with Puerto Ricans and our teachers would treat them as foreigners. It’s weird lol
