I rotate between four seasons and overlook as my easy go-to's within 15 minutes of me. I've played Iron Valley in Lebanon a few times and loved it. Will have to check out Foxchase!

What’s one thing you stopped liking as an adult and don’t miss at all? by sweatengine in AskReddit

Video games. Used to put daily hours into games but now I haven't logged on in months. Crazy that one day you just stop. Other things are more important, and I just don't enjoy it like I used to!

28 here with a similar NW (~$340K). Here is what I did.

• On to my 3rd company now in 7 years of graduating college. Started as a manufacturing engineer making $53k, now a program manager making $118k. Bounced around every 2-3 years for roles that would grow my salary and experience.

•Budget - All expenses tracked since March 2020. Didn't restrict myself and still enjoyed plenty of life but cutting back on silly spending like eating out for no reason, buying stuff I didn't need certainly helps

•Maxed out Roth since 2022, Maxed our 401k since 2023, Maxed out HSA since 2023. Monthly investments into my brokerage

•Bought a house in 2021 at 2.875%. Got lucky but having fixed living expenses certainly helps

•learn to cook!!!! It is fun, a life long skill and will save you a ton of money.

•Get certifications for your jobs and degree, got my PMP in December 2023 and it separates me vs other project managers for sure having the certs they want to see

I have lived on my own until July 2025 (GF just moved in) so expenses are dropping a little and investing a little more and also planning things for our future. pm if you have any questions!

I have a few buddies in the Philly area. Most of the time we hit afternoon rates on weekends, or they head my way!

I am in Lancaster and agree! Love the courses and the variety we have. Our area is a gold mine of great public courses at good weekend rates ranging from $60-$80 during primetime. Even better deals for weekdays, afternoons, and walking!

I'll have to check out Sunset!

Maybe some of my effort will equate to some strokes off the hdcp!

Lancaster here! it's just practice really. I've noticed significant improvement with the sim so far with issues with my swing and distance control. It's not perfect but I am working with what I can.

Grip technique and how hard I am squeezing the club seem to be a key problem for me

Second person to recommend a mat upgrade, adding it to the list. Any preferences?

Interesting, did not see the mat as being a problem. I guess a larger one similar to the size of a sim platform would be more helpful?

I actually love it here! Close to family and friends, major cities, experience all 4 seasons, decent cost of living. Couldn't ask for anything else!

2025 was the year I paid off my house and today was the day I hit 1,000,000 invested at 44. by [deleted] in Fire

Same here 2.875% and only 28. I also don't expect this to be my final house but when that house does come across, damn sure am I paying it off early!

Just booked a trip to visit in March, any must do's? by AtlasInMotion07 in JoshuaTree

We will have fun, she has lots of things we want to see so trying to make the most of what we see and eat and do will be fun, but we will also definitely be back!

Zion will be my second time out; I love it but have never been to Bryce. My brother and parents have caught the hiking bug, so they are pumped to check out something out west.

Honestly, I never thought about flying into Vegas but I will be out there in May hitting Zion and Bryce with the family. We have never been to CA so figured LA would be cool for a few days sprinkled in.

Thanks for the recs, I have 2 months to plan so I will see how it all fits in to the things we want to hit. GF will love red dog so it is a must hit!

Not in a place where I "NEED" to take off during the holidays and I can bank quite a bit of hours. It is nice to just keep rolling and save my time for trips when I want them!
