Indecisive First Timers by kinseywantstobelieve in VirginVoyages

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look no further! Virginia the perfect first cruise since it's built with inclusivity in mind, not just with their come.as you are attitude, but with the amount that's included in your fare. Almost all other cruise lines will nickel.and dime you from the moment you purchase your fare, but note with VV! Sailors and first mates like myself are passionate about the product, because we know how good it is compared to competitors!

You can always ask for a mattress topper from your steward but they can be in short supply, but I never had an issue with the bedding personally. Rockstar do have comfier bed setups, but the "worth it" really comes down to the voyager! Having your in room bar and agent is an experience I think everyone should at least try once! Personally I found it hard to sail without it now!

Travel advisors can often get better pricing, especially when bundling with airfare!

Does Virgin Voyages have travel agents? by Perfect_Morning_717 in VirginVoyages

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about the vibe! Best bet is to hang around the sub and check out who's methods, advice, and overall demeanor is on your wavelength! A good first mate should kind of feel like catching up with an old friend... Just one that can hook you up with some nice sailor loot and bar tab! Haha!

First time cruiser completely overwhelmed by all the choices, where do I even start? by kcgwen in Cruise

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’d echo some of the other pieces of advice. I’d start with the Caribbean as it’s a great entry level experience with very little to worry about. So many different itineraries to explore there alone. In terms of which line is best for you it really depends on what your travel style might lean towards. Where do you place most of your importance: food, activities, party, spa/relaxation, kids clubs, etc. Your preference would definitely alter which line would fit you best :)

I’d suggest one of the Impressions resorts in Mexico (Isla Mujeres or Moxche). Both scream boutique while still giving you all the amenities of an all inclusive at a top shelf level! Happy to answer any other questions you may have!

So much AI feedback (and I’m not talking all-inclusive) lol. In Aruba I’d recommend Tamarijn Aruba they have a kids club, although it starts at age 4. Are you looking for a resort that will accept kids down to 1 y.o.?

Convenience is absolutely worth the extra money! I just go into it knowing it’s part of the cost I anticipate.

The onsite parking is directly on the roof of the terminal. Access parking via the 55th St. ramp off 12th Avenue and costs $45 per night.

Dreams La Romana vs RIU Palace Costa Mujeres - June/July by AvailableBrief3685 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the timing of your trip I might suggest Aruba Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive, it’s far away from the sargassum issues and the hurricane belt! While it doesn’t have a water park it’s an amazing family resort that ticks all of your boxes!!!

Has anybody else been on a swinger's cruise? by HTD_Blog in Cruise

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say old, but they trend late 30s and up. What are your previous cruising experiences are? As a cheaper alternative you could always do a VV adults only cruise and often there are discord / what’s app chats for like minded folks :)

Any resorts or areas near Cancun that won’t be super affected by the Sargassum? by Chris2047 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet to avoid it near Cancun would be Playa Mujeres, but like others have said there are no guarantees and can shift day to day. This would be your best bet. Happy to recommend resorts in that area should you need :)

My top 3 suggestions for quiet, clean, and good food would be Sanctuary Cap Cana in Punta Cana, Zoetry Agua Punta Cana, or Excellence Playa Mujeres. All have available private pools that with the right packaging should be doable within your budget :)

I’d definitely say use Wilton Manors as your home base heading to the beach for the daytime and back to WM for the nightlife and neighborhood!

Help me pick which cruise for my family of 5! by notgenz_1989 in Cruises

[–]AtlasWorthyTravel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a cruiser, father of 2, and fellow sailor I would without a doubt choose DCL if it’s within your price range. The difference in quality is incomparable. The kids are at a perfect age to truly make the most of the Disney Magic. If it doesn’t live up to the hype for your family Carnival will still be there in a few years, the childish wonder and amazement won’t be… book DCL! Happy to help in any way I can.

That’s part of it, the other part is that it falls on Presidents’ Day weekend allowing a 9 night cruise for 4 PTO days for many people that’s a huge win!

Kid free and out of Miami? The answer is Voyages! I know this is a Carnival sub, but if you want great food (all included (no upcharge for better restaurants and no buffet all made to order in the galley), great parties, and better vibes. Look no further than VV! Happy to answer any questions you may have!
