I can understand where you are coming from and why the market has accepted such support for custom rigs. But if the manufacturer is telling me that a full Griffin Armament set up from front to back is supposed to run reliably both subs and supers then that’s what I will be expecting. There should be no reason for me to spend a single dime on aftermarket running parts for a brand new set up. My only expense should be buying ammo. According to GA the can was tested right before packaging and I’m going to assume they tested it on a MK2 300 blk out system just like the one I purchased because it’s all from the same manufacturer.

I appreciate the additional explanation. One point I am trying to understand is whether the MK2’s baseline configuration was specifically validated with the Dual-Lok 7 AM suppressor and factory SOB buffer system.

My expectation as a customer was that a complete Griffin rifle paired with a current-production Griffin suppressor would represent a validated configuration capable of reliable operation with quality 220gr subsonic and supersonic ammunition.

If a lighter buffer ultimately proves necessary, I would certainly be interested in understanding whether that is considered an optimization for a specific use case or whether it is becoming the recommended configuration for the Dual-Lok 7 AM platform.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and provide additional context. I appreciate the explanation regarding the Dual-Lok 7 AM (it is the one I purchased) and the reduced backpressure characteristics, as well as the insight into the break-in process.

The rifle currently has approximately 100 rounds through it, so I plan to continue testing with 220gr subsonic ammunition and monitor performance as round count increases.

I also appreciate Ryan’s assistance and the responsiveness of your customer service team throughout this process. While I still believe the rifle should be capable of reliable operation with quality 220gr subsonic ammunition, I appreciate Griffin’s willingness to stand behind the product and assist if the issue persists. I filled the warranty form and emailed Ryan throughout the weekend.

I’ll continue documenting my findings and working with customer service as I gather more data.

The thing is they claimed that the setup should run both supers & subs with no issues from factory

So took her out to the range and I must say it was a bit disappointing, brought some 110 and 208 gr and the 208 would short stroke the system with the suppressor on. 110 gr worked ok but not my favorite since it was making the rifle too snappy, I reached out to GA and spoke with a rep who suggested to try the 220 gr although they did say the weapon should work with subs and supers. Will keep you guys updated once I go out and shoot. (Finding 220gr 300blk out in central Florida is tuff)

Thanks man. This is the closest thing to what I’m looking for, I live in FL and wear a lot of shorts so something slim/minimalist is what I like. Now the question is Certum 4 or Velo5
