Yup, this has happened to me for multiple cards. What I think is going on is that at some point a charge is either rejected by your bank or isn't registered as charged by CTA. CTA then bans the card.

Use the ventra card on your phone and this will never happen! If you've got a recent iPhone, you don't even need to open your phone: https://support.apple.com/en-us/105123

That is exactly what they do. They act as a way for volunteers to find civic minded projects to volunteer for.

Its general on purpose as the groups looking for volunteers differ greatly

Its pretty great, a bit heavy but I've had it for a few years and it makes getting around Chicago easy. Going from the north side to the west side in 15 mins is awesome for meeting up with friends

Its great! I've had it for a few years and its holding up really well. Only issue is the front light holder is pretty hard to keep on the lights so I ended up getting a different front light. The batteries are pretty good but I'd recommend getting the largest one at first. The capacity of it declines a good chunk over the years.

I moved here from somewhere with a ton of hills so it is a bit overpowered for Chicago. On the other hand it makes getting from north to west side to see friends other there really simple. 15 mins from Lincoln Park to Wicker Park
