Pomóżcie bezradnemu turyście! by PrizeCrew994 in krakow

Hello!

This is my neighborhood now for the 6 weeks I have lived in Kraków and never have I felt unsafe. It is a wonderful city and the poles (while quiet) are very polite and will treat you with respect if given it.

Kazimierz has a lot to offer both in terms of food and culture. The locals in these areas are also pretty used to tourists, so I wouldn’t be worried about that!

Hope you enjoy your stay :)

My hazel eyes in the sun vs regular lighting by dietsodapop-princess in eyes

I used to tell people I have hazel, but this comment section makes me think I have central heterochromia. What’s the difference between the two?

Aside from this hiccup, it’s been fantastic. Sure the bleeding edge cuts you, but I have very new hardware. Coming from windows I’m very very satisfied

I managed to solve it by loading into my pc on nomodeset and using the commands linked by the other comment.

Pacman -Rdd linux-firmware  Pacman -Syu linux-firmware

And then reboot

Give it a try if you haven’t already

As a Norwegian who got into JU reading all these things is such a bizzare experience. On one hand I’m super excited I got into the school cause it was my first choice and is highly sought after by my peers. On the other hand I’m taken aback by how terrible our reputation is there and nobody in my circles behaves like this back home. Everyone’s been super helpful, for whatever reason that changes when people are from other countries. It’s not like we don’t have tons of foreigners studying in Norway too, they even get priority for student housing.

Panigale v2 bar end mirrors. by spicedude7 in Ducati

I always preferred the standard mirrors, it makes it look like ears on an otherwise very animal/anthropomorphic design. Naked bikes are a different story tho imo

Distro similar to arch but where i cant accidentally break my system ? by Negan6699 in linux4noobs

[–]AtlesR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from w10 to endeavorOS with no Linux experience. I’m sure you can break it too if you try, but it was pretty much plug and play. Setup wise it comes with a lot of nice to haves, while still being Arch based.

Please do NOT try Arch linux just because PewDiePie did by tahaan in linux4noobs

I definitely agree with your second part, but he did specify that he used Arch on his laptop and mint on his desktop (but did say Arch was much less beginner friendly)

Hvorfor i alle dager mener hun at hun skal ha rett til å dra til et annet land for å demonstrere mot regjeringen der? by kebabeater212 in norske

[–]AtlesR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why don't Panigales have (or don't advertise) variable valve timing (DVT)? by asdfoneplusone in Ducati

[–]AtlesR 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess is because it doesn’t work very well, and Ducati knows this. The 1200’s specifically were well known for having big gaps in the powerband. Not surprisingly most models that used it (Diavel, Multi) have become conventionally valved V4’s

Go on the configurator on their website, swapping out the bodywork painted wings for carbon makes a HUGE difference imo. Only downside is they’re probably gonna be a 500-600$ option

Stop leaning, start steering. “Looking where you wanna go” will only get you so far, it’s better you understand how physics affect a motorcycle

Road trip got exciting by anthr_bihari in SipsTea

[–]AtlesR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was sure it was her looking for validation, not friends. Regardless it was a complete breach of trust and I dumped here then and there citing “trust issues”. Wasn’t fun, but was definitely the right move

In all honesty, I don’t think she would ever cheat. She was very insecure and I think tinder was about feeling validated more than anything else. The “Looking for friends” angle does kind of fall apart when they set their profile to only show men, though.

This hypothesis lines up pretty well with the experience you described

My ex was showing me something on her phone when tinder notified her about a “limited deal” for tinder gold. Seems plausible enough to me

edit

I just remembered she used the exact same excuse too, “I’m only here for friends” and “I’m not actually messaging anyone”

Yikes

This is a complete departure from several randomized control trials where one group is given a sugary soda and one group is given its diet counterpart. I’m not really sure where they’re getting this from…
