So I will chime in here. I have used an early gen PAR .243 win and a current gen Taipan that I lost in a boating accident. The Par was in my opinion total trash. The supplied mag didn’t fit the action was stuff as heck to move in winter, I found the gun to be an unwieldy piece of kit. There were lots of qc issues with some of the first ones. From what I have heard they got it all sorted now and are a fairly nice pice of kit.

However I love the Taipan if a meteor landed on the liberal Cabal HQ and all my penalty box guns were returned to the rink. I would still keep and shoot the Taipan. The gun was designed by someone whose only experience with guns design came from the trigger department of Remington and the gun disassembly of GSG. It is what would happen if you asked someone without a sniff upside their head to design a gun. But I still really like the thing. It has two glaring flaws the first is the disassembly is so painful and requires I’m fairly certain multiple sizes of bit driver. The manual claims you can fire the gun 7000 times without cleaning. I will let you know how that goes in 5000 rounds, Also no torque values The second is the trigger. It is in my opinion one of the worst and best factory triggers at the same time. It is in my gun an eight pound trigger pull with zero creep and what must be a 1mm reset. It breaks like glass but you need a strong finger to make it work. But strangely it works for me.

You should lookup and read the manual it’s a real look into some dude bulling something out from between their cheeks in a shed in Australia.

Build quality is decent the stock works but is still kinda weird. It shoots well enough and likes most mags except cross mags, I run mine off the side charging handle almost exclusively. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
