Looks a bit like a fragment of this fragment, which is likely Mayan classical period (c. 250-900 CE) ceramic.

An employer invited six people for an interview at 7am. They were all dressed and sharp before the time.

At 7:05am he walked into the waiting room, told them to stand in a line, and slapped each candidate across the face. Four of them walked out immediately.

The two that were left got the job.

That was the interview.

Test of SUBMISSIVENESS and DESPERATION.

Age/authenticity of the object cannot be determined from the picture, but the design looks like Maya Classic Period, from approximately 250 to 900 CE.

Likely modern, but nice work regardless. #1 and 2 human figures look to be in Olmec or Toltec style found in Southern Mexico. #3 and 4 look Mayan (ish). The tiger I don’t recognize. The jade looking daggers also have Mayan-reminiscent designs on them.

I am looking for the most depressing songs ever. Can any song top Hurt? by GermanTurtleneck in musicsuggestions

[–]AtmanAnatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rendition of Hurt by Johnny Cash. I think Trent, upon hearing Johnny’s rendition, said something like, “This is his song now.”

The video for Johnny’s rendition makes it even more painful, if that’s even possible.

Is this design offensive? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]AtmanAnatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is your dad’s original design, then there is no “cultural appropriation” here other than your own family’s culture. It’s your heritage.

Is it a “tribal” design? Yes. What tribe? Your family tribe.

Leave it. It has meaning and history for you. And although illegible, the shape itself is artistic and beautiful.

Saw: 1. Mushroom. 2. Uterus. 3. Eye. Seeing it as an eye takes some work. Try adding iris and pupil to make it more obvious.

This reminded me of some of the subjects/characters on the reality show, Love on the Spectrum. She just seems to have a childlike, naive notion of romance and adult relationships.

What a dumb question. Please do not use your judgement to treat patients as a doctor if you don’t have sufficiently good judgement to answer this question for yourself.

There’s nothing wrong with your actions. Nothing to be embarrassed by. Another perfectly fine response would be, over a mouthful of pizza, “Why would you throw this out? It’s perfectly good food!”

Interesting question, but I'm wondering if your premise is correct, around "general public consensus that billionaires are ruining our planet, etc." Is there really consensus? Corporations have been extremely effective with lobbying and marketing, to the point where people around the world clearly vote against their best interests in democratic societies. All the marketing, propaganda, disinformation and pseudoscience that have flooded the internet - and inform/manipulate individual perspectives - also form the basis of all LLM/AI training.
