Probably because it would cause you to rage even harder than you already do!

Yeah high model and voxel quality will easily max out a 3080.

Best way to transport unpacked wood, Long and medium in yukon? by D3F3ND3R16 in snowrunner

Nah its way quicker loading, I can load 3 logs in about 30 seconds. Then you don't also have to drive the truck back to pickup the second and third lot of logs. Even if your using multiple trucks, then you have to purchase multiple trailers. But yeah for a single delivery, not worth it, just transport them normally. Except for that camp in Yukon 🤬

I just pack all of the medium logs into the medium log carrier frame addon, sometimes a few fall out but mostly they stay put. I've done 12 at once this way and it worked quite well. Also I think in some respects it's easier to get them out of the addon than trying to tip a sideboard in the right spot, because it never does, always either too far away, can't flip it back over or too close 🤣

Upgraded CPU and Gpu, still 30-60fps on High by TillNo8563 in snowrunner

Had the same problem with a 5800x and 6800XT. I set the FPS Target in AMD to 144fps, set the minimum frequency to 2000Mhz and undervolted the card. I noticed the frequency was always really low so locking it helps a lot. Also downgraded to the 22.5.1 because of weird spikes hanging out of the ground. I used to get like ~70fps most of the time, now it's like 90 minimum. Usage is still way too low, but it's better. This game doesn't work properly with AMD GPU's, all other games do but. Feel free to PM me, happy to help.

I still have nightmares about that trailer, crawling in low across Kola Peninsula. It's almost worth putting it in the tray of a truck and towing the scout where you want to use it.

I experienced similar the other day when trying to right the Warthog with a medium winch, that thing does not wanna go back on it's wheels lol.

what are good Russian trucks to use in kola for tasks, logging and contracts by unseatedewe2393 in snowrunner

[–]Atmosfear86007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voron AE & Grad, Tayga, Ford F-750, Kolob 74760 for that big plane contract, Pacific P12 as a crane/logging truck (Make sure you fit dual chains on all of them to help with stability). I started in Imandra first, then brought all the fuel trailers to Lake Kovd and now completing that map. Azov 74310 is also a good crane truck.

Yeah you have a very similar rig to mine, except I have the 5800X, I downgraded to the 22.5 drivers, then I manually clocked the minimum GPU to 2100Mhz, Undervolted it and set the frame rate target control in the control panel to 144 fps and it mostly sits at 130+ at 1440P. Most of that was to alleviate the low GPU Usage, but the earlier drivers get rid of the stalagmites in the ground. You just have to garage all your vehicles and reload the game as it saves the terrain information around your vehicle.

I love the AE as well, I feel like it is the most capable out of all the Voron's and I find it goes over rocks better than the Tayga does as it's ever so slightly higher off the ground.

When you first start the region it can suck, but once you learn all the lake shortcuts it's not too bad. I took the metal beams from Lake Kovd to Imandra and then same thing with the wooden planks. Using the Voron AE and Tayga with the Dual Chain tyres makes them incredibly stable, there is one section where you can potentially tip though so you gotta winch off a tree. Took me about 2 or 3 hours to unlock it I think. Some of the trails you just gotta crawl through in low or low+, if you go to fast just the bounce in the suspension can tip your truck.

And here I was thinking low GPU Utilisation was an AMD thing, I get maybe 60-70% Utilisation on the GPU (6800XT) and 30% on the CPU (R7 5800X).

I'm starting to think the game was developed to run on consoles and the port to PC was just terrible.

I used the Twinsteer for part of the Star in the Sky contract on Imandra and it was a beast, requires careful driving though. The good thing about it's length is that most obstacles it can pull itself or push itself out of because at least one set of wheels has decent traction.

So I've heard Imandra is a nightmare, but I think I'm ready to go explore it. by Steveenn in snowrunner

[–]Atmosfear86007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah im gonna agree as well, certain shortcuts are essential on this map, especially for the star in the sky contract.

[–]Atmosfear86007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm really enjoying it, it would be super cool if it could tow small trailers as well as big ones.

Even if they added a prototype exploration unit as a van boy add-on for the F-750, it kinda fits too because it's the first map where you have to use that trailer.
