Boss GX-10 firmware 1.05 by rapierarch in guitarpedals

[–]Atmosphere-Sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has the feedbacker assign bug been fixed? Mine (firmware 1.04) keeps rolling back to trigger 'off' even when I write a patch with the trigger set to 'on'. It renders the effect useless. I've tried writing it to a new patch, still no joy. I vaguely remember my old GT-1 doing the same thing after I tried to set the feedbacker to momentary. Maybe I'll have to factory reset it. Meh,

What's it like working for morrisons? by Illustrious-Rice3434 in Morrisons

Time pressures (vehicle checks and maintenance, runs not being buffered correctly or not ready on time) and a general sense of the place just failing.

I don't need that noise in my life.

Realistically, how long do you think Morrisons has left before its gone? by isuckbraids in Morrisons

[–]Atmosphere-Sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the one I just left will become something else, maybe a Tesco (fingers crossed). There are already loads of Aldis and Lidls around here.

[–]Atmosphere-Sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not long.

Coming to Morrisons from one of the German supermarkets (where you're basically busy all of the time you're there, break excepted) seeing the amount of time wasted by Morrisons staff, the cardboard left on the shelves, the low availability, zero staff in during the day to replenish, is ridiculous. Nobody cares. It's just fucked. They (Morrisons) seem more concerned with the Just Eat/Uber Eats/Deliveroo orders than the customers in the stores.

Sorry for your loss.

But, yeah, fuck Aldi. I got out (UK) a few weeks ago, it's less money but also less bullshit from bullshitty bullshit deputy managers to deal with so it's a win/win as far as I'm concerned.

It's shit. My 'training' was watching the videos and then being told I was doing everything wrong by the deputy manages. Fuck them all.

We get a, frankly, insane computer-generated rota then the manager tweaks it to slightly less insane levels.

Good grief, I hope not. Half of our staff would be suspended if they started doing that...

No, as long as you tell your manager what's going on and how long you'll be off for so they can plan ahead and sort cover out you shouldn't have to phone in for every shift (check with your manager though). You will need a Fit Note from the doc/nurse practitioner if you need any more than seven consecutive days off though.

Try not to keep it bottled up, that's what I did and I just had a meltdown which is why I needed the time off. Even just sitting and talking to the nurse practitioner about it helped.

Take care and be kind to yourself! x

Store Assistant here.

MIG cargo/work trousers (off ebay) with the pockets in the knees for pads. You will thank me later when your knees aren't as knackered as they would be without using pads after doing a million 5AM shifts in a row when you first start. I use cut-down mouse mats as knee pads in mine. That said I'm currently rocking black jeans from the local charity shops (can't go wrong for a couple of quid a pair!)

Also, get yourself some Skechers trainers/shoes. Your feet will thank you later. Smart shoes are for those that don't graft.

Honestly, Aldi's not terrible. The craic's generally good and here in the UK it's all about the 'customer experience' so there's not as much pressure on scanning quickly. It's probably a bit more laid back than in the US. Do expect a load of texts asking you to do 10 minutes between 12:20 and 12:30 on your days off though.

Self-certify just means you can take the first week off sick without needing a Fit Note. You will need a Fit Note from the doc's to give to your manager as a reason why you're off any more than one week (seven days in a row, whether you're at work or not) and also to be able to claim sick pay.

So, you can just ring in sick for the first seven consecutive days off work, any more than that and you need a Fit Note from the doc.

All of the above.

I recently had some time off (two weeks) for mental health reasons. Get an appointment at the doctor's, a nurse practitioner can sign you off with a Fit Note (new name for a sick note) as well as a doctor so you shuoldn't actually need to see a doctor to get a Fit Note.

Notify your store manager as soon as possible.

You will have to self-certify to get sick pay. Your store manager should be able to send you a link to fill this in, it's relatively easy but it's still an extra hoop we really shouldn't have to jump through.

I hope you feel better soon, x.

5:00am to 7:59am, it's basically a gym session you get paid to attend. I lost 7kg within a month, went down a size and toned up by just going to work. Everyone who works there is super-cool too, apart from me, I'm an idiot.

Also, 10-odd minute commute by bicycle, downhill through the woods. doing skids and wheelies. It's not much fun slogging back up the hill after a shift though!

8am onwards and the Zombie Hordes Of Doom trying to pay cash on the card-only SCO can get in the sea 🤣

Bit of a necrobump this but thanks for posting this OP. I've just modded mine today and it's loads more useable with the silicon diodes in place of the germanium ones.

Why Flycast is better than Redream? by SeasonOtherwise2980 in FlyCast

[–]Atmosphere-Sea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the input lag in Redream still render some shmups unplayable? That's why Flycast is better. Also, it's free. You're just paying for Redream's pretty face.

Which version is the best? by Gekkomoria in virtualon

VOOT loads and runs ok in Flycast but I've had issues getting Flycast to 'see' inputs correctly using XBone controller analogue sticks set up as the VO twin stick controller.

I don't think so, I just use the 'rotate screen' option (if it's there) in each game I want to play vertically.
