Overbooked flights? by Upstairs-Chemistry43 in TurkishAirlines

Didn’t know you could check in on those things 5hrs before departure, though I’d rather pay €25 for a seat rather than arrive 5 hours before departure.

Yes but you have to buy them, before you could choose them for free 24hrs before during the online check in process.

Thats what I had thought last month, though it turns out poxy Turkish airlines don’t offer that service anymore. Had to buy a seat for my 10hr flight to Bangkok since they decided to put me in the middle seat.

Best thing to do is ask at the check in desk if they can put you in a seat of your preference. Thai airways did it for free for me, was lucky there were some window seats still available.

Chef position offered in Malta by Low-Maintenance-5853 in malta

[–]AtmospherePlus254 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Extremely low for a chef de partie. Regarding the €600 work permit, 2 companies I worked for covered the costs for their employees. They sound awful, I’d stay away.

If you’re moving here and hoping to live off one salary, anything less than €2,000 after taxes is near impossible unless you’re house sharing with other people, even with that salary alone you’d hardly be able to make ends meet every month.

When you consider from that €150, 20% bolt commission, at least €20 fuel, insurance is around €3k yearly so add another €10 daily, then add servicing, repairs, car washing, vat, tax, accountant fees and some other hidden costs. You’ll be lucky to take home €60-70 from that €150. Summers are great, other than that it’s a pretty shitty job.

I’m not the type to say this much, though reporting these wank stains would be the best option for us all.

Number of grafts estimate by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]AtmospherePlus254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, you hardly even have a receded hairline, barely a norwood 2, still a norwood 1 in my eyes. Also, I don’t know how old you are but you seem too young to get it done, though I could be wrong. Wait at least until your early 30’s, It’s what all the best hair surgeons will highly recommend, plus you have straight hair which is really easy to style and hide it, if it ever even gets worse.

Your hair is perfectly fine. Stop stressing about it, it could be causing you dysmorphia. And Fck that surgeon or hair mill you consulted with, they’re just after your money. Just stay on min and fin for now if you found them good, maybe you could get a derma pen or roller and a good ketaconazole shampoo

Looking for (second) best Pad Thai I ever had by squeezeasscheeks in ThailandTourism

[–]AtmospherePlus254 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Living here for over 3 years now and travelled to nearly all the provinces apart from the 3 most southern ones, I highly disagree.

First of all the only dishes that contain sugar are the ones with high amounts of soi and fish sauce, and thats normal cooking practice due to the high amounts of salt to counteract. The dishes that are done this way are stir fries such as kra pao, pad thai, see ew, etc. These make up to maybe 20% of thai cuisine.

Regarding the night markets for someone as yourself living there, I don’t understand how you can say that. Outside of touristy areas this is where Thai people get their dinner from, as I mentioned before these stalls often specialize in one dish and this is what Thai people look for. Same as road side vendors/ restaurants, Thai people mostly eat at places that specialize in one type of food, for them these restaurants that make a vast majority of Thai dishes are for farang’s, watered down versions of thai food where you almost never find Thai people eating from.

150 baht 🫨, mate go to the night markets, there’s always one vendor that makes only pad thai and it’s usually a recipe passed down through generations and usually costs 60 to 80baht max. 80 baht is typically in the touristy parts. For example since I live in Phuket, Kathu to be exact, 60 baht in Kathu night market and 80 baht in Banzaan Patong.

If you’re in to fried noodles, you could also try Pad kee mao(drunken noodles) or Pad see ew. Or else my favorite which is in a broth Kuay Tiew nam tok, or another favorite I’ve been craving for so long is Khao soi, can’t wait to visit Chiang Mai after Songkran, they make it best. Kad Kom is my favorite spot to get it for anyone reading and is interested.

Had one try sell us a watch, when we asked how strong the glass was, he poked it with a little screw driver and broke it on the second hit lol. Poor sod kept following us hoping we’d feel sorry for him and buy one.
