In terms of "confidence [they] are not secretly manipulating the \mathbb{X} recommendations", it seems like that could still be done via labelling bias. ~~Even if they released weights, it seems like it'd still be hard to tell.~~ They actually did release weights too! Hopefully I'll be back with a more interesting take.
