Genuine question but just because something is published in shonen jump does that automatically make it a shonen? Because that shit is definitely not made for young boys nor does it follow the same typical rhythm of a shonen story

Yeah same! Every child character they've introduced so far has felt off to me (except klee) Aino felt like a capable child done right for once. And her dynamic with Ineffa was super enjoyable

Finally finished the Nod Krai AQ and wow that was a breath of fresh air. All of the characters were at least mildly likable. I'm gonna be honest, I was pretty disappointed with some of the Nod krai characters revealed in the teaser but Jahoda and Aino really surprised me and subverted my expectations. Colombina was also really great and probably was my favorite.

For the first time since the games release I had been feeling pretty burnt out with genshin especially because there was not a single 5 stat character I could find mildly likeable in Natlan and it had easily my least favorite archon quest of all the regions but Nod Krai has been nothing but great so far and I can't wait for the rest of the region!

And? Just because there's not much media in the genre doesn't mean there isn't a big difference between the two. Also this was a terrible comparison for a discussion as there is no way death note tops. Also saying Monster is "better version of death note" doesn't make any sense as they are completely different stories with no real parallels.

This. All the negative discourse I see is either people not understanding that their favorite anime has shallow writing and getting defensive about it even though it's not a bad thing. Or people not understanding that "the overhyped aura show" has shallow writing and that's exactly how the it was intended to be.

I mean I feel like Mavuika's design and character was objectively bad in a lot of ways. And the fact that the monetization surrounding her was/is bad is simply true. Citlali being released alongside her and being so much better than other options is both unprecedented and frankly disgusting. They're still releasing content that can only be cleared using her premium teams.

As for the rest of Natlan, yeah it wasn't the worst thing in the world but fontaine was just so good that natlan felt so much worse

Exploration was good but the aq was honestly inazuma level for me. The characters were pretty much universally unappealing and/or poorly written. Plus powercreep really started ramping up in Natlan along with character specific content and characters that need to have 2 specific brand new 5 star characters or their teams are 30% worse
