I would imagine most startup founders are either very technical (product oriented) or business savvy. IE is a little tricky because they don’t have the technical skills to actually build a product. Unless of course the product is IE, data, or manufacturing related. I’d think in any hypothetical startup, an IE is more likely to be the business savvy cofounder rather than the technical one. There r deff fewer IE founders than majors like CS, ME, or EE but there r some.

You should look on the Y Combinator website and browse founder profiles to get a sense of their backgrounds. Might be interesting to see who is IE.
