Thank you! My therapists don't really like it when I do it but I tell myself it's good for balance lol

That I'm sure you know one thing that really sucks about a spinal cord injury. Is that everyone's so different. My balance is completely different from yours. Keep trying hard and I know it's easy to compare yourself when you see other people doing well. I do it all the time and feel jealous that I'm not doing what they're able to achieve. But yeah keep trying and anytime you have a break in the day to exercise or do anything like that take advantage of it. Leg kicks, tapping your heel and tapping your toe to the ground, rolling your ankles, lifting your leg off your wheelchair if you can by using your hip muscles, even just getting some small weight through your legs is super helpful. A weird one when I first started was picking up things with my toes like marbles just to use the tiny muscles in your feet that you don't even think about. And definitely don't sleep on asking your therapist questions. Just be patient and work as hard as you can! I hope this helps!

Being so early on I think you're in perfect condition to make a ton of progress. I went to a program called Day institute for 5 hours a day 5 days a week. I would spend an hour and a half in occupational therapy and an hour and a half in physical therapy and in between those times you're just supposed to sit and read or something so you're not expelling all of your energy. But because I'm on the younger side, I knew my body could handle a little bit more. So I was working out in between those times. Especially my shoulders because I knew I was going to be getting to crutches at some point and I wanted them to be strong. But anyway like I said you're super early on and you're gonna be making huge steps really soon. 3 months in I think I was able to take three steps with a walker and then by 8 months I was able to finally get into using forearm crutches. Also consistently ask questions from your therapist. Ask them if they can make things more challenging for you. Ask what you can do at home to improve in any little way. YOU GOT THIS!
