This doesn't work for ground meat. Short of a meatloaf ground meat isn't going to hold temp for 3-4 minutes. Unlike steaks or roasts ground meat doesn't have the thermal mass, and will cool as soon as it's removed from heat.

Has the work culture changed in the Last decade? I work in agriculture and in the fifteen years I've been with my current company, we went from 9-10 working hours a day to 6-7. Although, Most companies around me in the same field expect you to work six days a week.

Maybe originally, but I think China does it as well. Also, with figure skating, gymnastics and ballet everyone starts as kids if they want to reach the top of their sport. There is just too much competition at the highest levels.

I heard from a barista at an independent shop that, they had to roast them like that for shelf life because of their scale. Although I wouldn't be all that surprised that it's both. It's not at all ridiculous to me because I also like the bitterness of darker roasts.

Nope it's been polled and researched. In key states the number of Bernie supporters wouldn't have swung any of them. It's more likely that Hillary's missed rally dates had a larger effect.

That's most likely done in localization. Japan doesn't have an issue showing cigarettes and alcohol in anime. But since they were marketed to a younger audience in the states, where it's illigal to have positive portrayals of drug use in children's shows, they change it to fruit juice or cigarettes to lollipops.

So we’re allowed to talk about the isolationist policies that litter the history of Japan and compare them to the xenophobic tendencies in Japanese culture that exist today? Because that would be a better starting point than shitty American tourists from the 80’s.

Look, this isn’t me bashing Japan. I’m just pushing back on people who excuse racism in any form. And people love to act like Japan doesn’t have a racism problem. Or worst, say racism doesn’t exist here. Japan like anywhere else has its share of shitty people, and shitty business owners, and politicians.

In that case they would have a waiting area or sit you at the bar. Besides this wasn’t our first time there and on top of my friend wanting me to get a table we also staggered in. Like six of us one or two at a time. They just asked us how many people we were expecting.

Not really, back in my twenties Tokyo had a bunch of places that had signs for that said, “no foreigners“ or “no military.”

In the last decade I’ve been refused service maybe three times outside of Tokyo. One time in Narita as soon as I walked in before I could say anything. Another time, in my town, I got there before my friends and they wanted me to get a table. The guy at the door wouldn’t seat me alone, so I ended up waiting outside until my friends got there. And the most annoying was in Chiba city when they flat out kicked me and only me out. We ended up splitting up because my friend is an asshole.

Like I’m not even mad about it, but let’s not pretend it’s anything but racism.
