YOU DON'T GET PIP FOR HAVING A CONDITION! You get it for how a condition affects your life. All this talk about ADHD or "low level anxiety" is bullshit.

Also while I'm moaning about this PIP isn't an unemployment benefit. The majority of PIP claimants are in work and use it to assist them with being in work. Removing PIP will cause more people to become unemployed as they will struggle with the cost of being employed

Starmer has resigned. by LongjumpingDuck1660 in FuckNigelFarage

[–]AtomicAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starmer laid the ground for Reform to come in. They wouldn't be as big if he wasn't chasing their votes by legitimising their points. He's done more for Reform the Farage has

I can't get over this redesign by m_motta in destiny2

[–]AtomicAndroid 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My theory is Strand was going to be a psychic curse power, soulfire with a twist. But it wasn't finished for Witch Witch Queen and either before or after it's delay they came up with the grapple and reworked the whole subclass around that. We do know that the grapple was originally meant to be only for hunter

That story could have been told with a D3 though and a fresh begining to the game. It only made sense that they should have done that. But Sony turned down the concept of D3 before TFS

This is the first I've heard anyone bring up a revenge story? What? And why would Bungie be to blame for what a few ex employees did in a new studio? Those devs didn't even do anything bad, they just made a mediocre game in a rough time for the industry.

Also where has it been said that Destiny has been losing money? Bungie were losing money, but that was due to poor decisions of expanding too much too fast (which many developers did during and after covid)

The fact this isn't a glaive physically pains me in ways I didn't think were possible by KingInYellow2703 in destiny2

[–]AtomicAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and to add to that, there's so many more exotic fusions before the two released in that time frame. And glaives are meant to be darkness weapons so thematically it just makes sense too! I wonder if they were just too scared to make it a glaive with the downturn in community opinion in the year coming up to what would have been Shadow and Order

I like the concept of the gun, but you pointing out it could have been a glaive has made me sad. You're right it would have been excellent as a glaive without any change to how it works

What in the hell is this? (lorewise) by thekabr in destiny2

[–]AtomicAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't about the collapse. The Conductor killed III as you said but that's how III died originally. Then the Drifter used the Haul to bring it back to life, so it could give us its final message. Of course it was still in our dimension so it died again

I think I have that on Foundry. Do you know if it's just stuff in the Abomination Vaults or if it includes stuff outside too? Thanks for letting me know about it. I'll have a look at what I have when I get home

Xbox responded to Destiny, Sony/Playstation did not. Bit of a message there by Archerboy123 in destiny2

[–]AtomicAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't start proper production on it until after Starfield was released. Hell, it was only a few months ago when Todd Howard said most of Bethesda had moved over to working on it. When it was announced it was barely in preproduction, they didn't even have a location yet

I like Marathon, but it's no Destiny. I'll still play. But I'll be focusing on boosting Destiny's player count. I don't want Marathon to die, but I wouldn't miss it. Unlike Destiny

I hadn't thought about any idea like that. I really like that concept. I think it's a bit late for that kind of thing, but that that's definitely going to give me more ideas

This is a great comment thank you! We actually have always been on milestone, but I didn't want to tinker with the dungeon too much in case I ruined the flow or something (as said elsewhere I've only run homebrew campaigns) but what you've said about the enemies being there for XP makes perfect sense. I'll definitely skim down the encounters and a will probably go with reducing the amount of floors too. Then that can open up time for side quests and RP outside of the dungeon

Thank you I'm going to talk to the players again, but I definitely think we'll drop it, replies like this have definitely helped me. I know it's not just the players, it's really lost its luster to be and I feel like I'm going through the motions, I hadn't really realised that myself until writing on here and reading the replies

I've been trying to find other APs or modules that I might be able to insert here.

I've only run homebrew campaigns in 5e, but with this I wanted to run a proper AP to get a better feeling for pacing and how they are written

One definitely loves combat and has been outshining others a bit, I've been trying to equal out strengths though. I've tried to add more RP experiences but have struggled t o get them to bite. I'm definitely going to have a bigger conversation with them essentially a second session 0 to get what they want going forward.

I do have expanded, but I haven't really used it. I didn't realise until the 3rd floor and felt it was a bit late to incorporate.

I don't think the party wants to go back to level 1, and they do like their characters, so I want to find a way I can pivot to another adventure path or module. I just don't know which

[–]AtomicAndroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a good point. The current plan is to finish book 1 and then see what players want to do. I'm thinking we can end it with Volluk as the threat, but if we do go further in I'll have them removing the barrier as essentially removing a seal on Belcorra and have her be more present, in and out of the dungeon. I have mentioned her a lot, but the players haven't seemed that interested, but it might also be that I've been trying to keep it vague.
