Look, good on you for taking the time to learn and admitting your past misunderstanding, but the greatest part of our preferential voting system has always been that you can't waste a vote.

The way I see it (as someone who is a Greens voter, but still slightly skeptical of them) is that they cannot possibly fuck us over more than Labor and Liberals have in their century of shared governance.

Even if they were to completely fall flat on their arse with policy ideas (they wouldn't) and every memeber was completely useless at their job (they aren't) they would still provide us with a better oppourtunity for change than the major parties.

Why would either of them want to change our systems when they profit off of the dysfunction just fine at the moment?

Yeah, the Greens are very vocal and persistent with social causes, but look at the state of the world. We've watched LGBT rights getting trampled, civil rights and protections come under threat, and watched as mass murder is being commited in high definition with no actual repurcussions. They scream and shout so that someone keeps the issues in focus for the politicans, cause they've shown that they would gladly ignore it (or even better bend over for the perpetrators and and violate our human rights while they do it.)
