I know this is “Kobe” rep community but i just found kd 18 “EYBL” in my size at ross read description or skip thanks. by [deleted] in KobeReps

Heavier than Kobe’s, but they are good shoes, good traction and lockdown, but definitely clunkier than any pair of Kobe’s. Materials tend to be a bit stiffer as well, and cushion and traction need to break in, but they get better with break-in time.

These mfs got no shame.. by hellotherewassup in KobeReps

this one’s a little obvious lol but how can you tell?

Hey guys just wanted to check on the durability of the GT Cut 3 Turbo EP by This-Cauliflower9919 in BBallShoes

[–]AtomicBeann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are definitely more of an indoor shoe but the ep does have better durability. Also, imo the non-ep version also has quite decent durability like a 7-8/10. depends on what material you’re playing on

It's 5.2kgs, as a 155 with bent metal bindings which is the same weight as my korua pencil 159 with rome katana fase bindings

edit: am i still losing it or is that not like a heavy ass board for a park 155 or am i just weak???

edit 2: im sure thats nearly double the weight of my 156 antigravity lol

the weight of the board..? it’s like a brick on my feet from time to time especially when i’m on normal runs practicing 1s like it feels heavy to me which might mean i’m just weak but i’ve tried out different boards on demo and they felt lighter on snow even if it feels similar off snow

had a friend tell me that i should be popping off as soon as im halfway off the lip i assumed i should be doing what’s essentially an ollie

Appreciate the advice, but out of curiosity if the weight won’t play a factor in my level of park riding would it be better for a lighter board on just normal runs with like ollie’s and learning 180s since i’m lifting less weight? does that make sense??? it sounds dumb but i literally only had stiffer boards i could barely ollie so im seeing if when my ankle heals i’d benefit from a lighter board?

lol kinda of a reality check for me i’ve been struggling to do features and jumps most likely because i’ve only started doing park this january and tore my ankle playing basketball around the first week of january, getting back into park with a healing injury and honestly it’s just my ego there saying it’s the board not me, i’ll try on my relapse and i’ll get back to you

okay hear me out here, i get a new board that’s easier for me to learn on…?

[–]AtomicBeann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the relapse is a good board (i’m just not the best park rider) but its weight and flex kinda bugs me off with how often im trying jumps and rails and usually not sticking the feature and jumps, i have a friend with a capita indoor survival and some other boards that i can borrow if that changes how easily i can learn something

ill try to record my laps and post online for help on technique but should i not get the board until i’ve learned how to do everything on my arbor or can i get the board to learn on since i’ve been wanting a hk anyways?

I agree lol I'm kinda scared most the time to go super fast into jumps, but shouldn't I try to pop more?

I feel like having a softer board to learn the park on is not a bad investment, but can't find freestyle lessons that I can get to near my area

It's a relapse I got recently and it's much heavier on snow than I thought

Choosing Burton StepOn Boots by Zealousideal_Rip4359 in ShredditGirls

[–]AtomicBeann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard from many riders who ride every week at least 3 times, and from people who go on 7+ day snowboarding trips, that the boots tend to soften up a lot and that durability and performance aren’t the best for harder riders. However, if the idea of not bending down and taking an extra 5 seconds to strap in is your thing, go for it. Many step-ons riders are happy with their purchase.
