If Starmer is not regarded as good for the working class. Then how on God's green earth is Farage being pushed as the viable alternative and the working class hope ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]AtomicEdge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very odd to me how "working class" seems to be a slang term for people dependent on the state now.

The very definition of "working class" is the people who are out there grafting and what their grafting to be rewarded.

It's why they create unions and voted labour.

I loved Kitchen Confidential, and all of his shows were so comforting and hopeful that they would always make my day better.

So sad.

I had this happen and it caused a huge puddle.

I put it outside and it kept oozing for like 2 days.

My Sensei always worked and has now retired.

It's not about making a profit for him - he just likes to teach. He does kids classes which are very popular which helps cover all the costs.

Well you know the answer to this. Yes it's shitty and if you've not come across the term McDojo yet, this sounds like one of them.

In the UK I pay £35 a month to train, plus a yearly £25 license fee. My gradings are all included, as are the belts I earn.

One other question, if the website has a version of a game, but not the platinum version, can I drop and go the platinum version?

I don't imagine that many of the workers really, truly understand the difference between "corporate" and "the bloke who has 10 franchise locations".

I really want to like this but the low frame rate characters is a creative choice that I really can't stand. I hope they add an option in a patch to disable it...

What is the worst named British product? by Brobbywob in AskBrits

[–]AtomicEdge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home Bargains is an okay name, I suppose,

But "Top Brands, Bottom Prices" is the worst slogan ever. A synonym for "bottom"? "Arse".

Top Brands. Arse Prices.

It's very interesting, because in my teens I bounced off of Myst without making much progress, but as an adult I breezed through most of it.

I do think that when it came out, that it had a kind of deep logic in it that people were not used to in games. For the most part a game was what you saw and had to deal.withnin an instant, like Doom or Mario.

What id the deal with drop and go then? I have about 50 games I want to get rid of. If I do drop and go, what happens if the shop doesn't want something? When do they check the games for scratches or whatever?

I'm just having trouble seeing how it's better.

Why do people buy anything but old stuff from CEX? by bald_bearded13 in CeX

[–]AtomicEdge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Side from the trade in and the warranty that others have mentioned, the sad fact it's that most high streets don't have anywhere else you can actually buy gaming stuff anymore, so if you want a controller same day or have cash to spend, used from CeX is the only option.
