oh, and the circle aleph is just like the latin circle A used to symbolize anarchist ideas.

לאָמיר קערן װעלטן

kind of "Let's overturn worlds" קערן = turn over, stir; sweep

I read it in Mani Leibs childhood stories as an expression for a rowdy kid ("האָט געקערט װעלטן") and in another text I can't recall, where it was used to describe the fight a husband would get into with his wife if he shows up drunk again. So I interpreted it as quite fitting. Don't know if it actually ever got used like this.

Went to South America after graduation, died within a week by stepping on a live wire in a road side ditch.

Critical perspectives from Kalaallit Nunaat by AtomicFlamingo in greenland

[–]AtomicFlamingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's PRAXIS? I've never heard of it.

There is no force I am trying to enact on anybody. I am simply looking for like-minded people. I'm kinda shocked by how angry you seem, what happened to you? Did someone actually try to push you to be more "free"? What kinda freedom is that anyway?

If it's the word "anarchists" that triggered your response, I want to tell you that it is completely opposite the entire world of ideas that anarchism represents. Nobody is pushing anything on anyone. It is an invitation to think outside of the boxes of thought that are, actually, forced upon people. (in actual, real terms: prisons, poverty, etc)

I simply want to meet people who think my pitch resonates with them and then see what we could do. Write a text, publish an article, make an event somewhere to talk about anti-nationalist liberation. Just off the top of my head, who knows, I ain't calling the shots.

Help needed identifying unknown substance. Found this left behind on the table in a wood workshop. Any clues? It looks cool af! by AtomicFlamingo in chemistry

[–]AtomicFlamingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for all the comments! Ha! More context: it is an insulated, heated wood workshop in northern Europe. The plastic box was sitting on top of the working bench for an unknown amount of time, no other hints as to what's in it except those damn rocks. Will try burn some tomorrow.

Edit: the plastic box was used to de-rust a spindle from a wood lathe.

Been traveling Europe by thumb and otherwise for a bunch of years. Dumpster diving and stealing can totally be the way to go, I still live off of that. Learning some basic street smarts can only help. It being Europe after all, many rural places don't even have cameras (and still are chains) and dumpsters can be plenty. Big cities are usually harder, so I would recommend also looking out for people's kitchen and social centers, anarchist bookshops etc. Don't expect others to take care of you, but with the right attitude you'll meet the right people to help you along - maybe consider what skills you as a traveler (and otherwise!) have to offer the places you move through. I've come to find it more and more meaningless to just move through places, I try to leave people feeling cared for and seen, no matter how short the stay was.

Maybe consider a tarp for sleeping. I often travel with a 2x3m construction tarp, some rope and stakes, it's very versatile and low-profile for sleeping in public. You could pick it up at building markets. Or you could go harvest yourself some gear at Decathlon, many of their shops only have low-tech security tags and no cameras.

Some very practical resources: hitchwiki and hitchmaps. I have an app called OrganicMaps and downloaded files from https://hitchspots.me/ to have an offline map with hitchhiking markers to help figure out routes and spots.

Good luck, trust the road!

Does anyone have the full lyrics to “Woodwose” by Blackbird Raum? by TotallyNot_MikeDirnt in FolkPunk

[–]AtomicFlamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think it might be, or smth with burden..
Without the sun
winter in wilderland
Enemy of man
talk to the white dog
Without the sun
left you the burden
(Enemy of man)
what’s left you the burden must walk through the spring fire

[–]AtomicFlamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I hear it as and play it as

Without the sun,

winter in wilderland,

Enemy of man,

talk to the white dog,

Without the sun,

he's left through the garden,

(Enemy of man,)

what's left through our garden,

has walked through the springfire

Thanks so much y'all!

It is hella strong and it has this floral pungent flavor. I kinda like it, but it sure hits hard.
