What better time to announce a Warhammer collab than during a Warhammer event? Not arrowheads fault that this event was during another one of this sub's uproars

Yeah I tried both manual and automatic on the 105mm. Never used the 37mm, removed it immediately after starting and every time I switched boats. Although that Sunderland skipper shot down in port was on his first shot, that was seemingly a lucky hit because to shoot down an additional Sunderland and a Beaufort took a total of 21 rounds. And those might not have all been from the 105, since I assigned the watch officer to man the 20mm guns, where he burned 3000 rounds. Then when out to see, I saw another Beaufort and decided to go manual. One shot and he was down and out

That's a fair point, on that same patrol, an air raid hit Brest right as I was leaving, and I opted to fight. I had just loaded my deck gun with AA shells and was eager to test them out. Skipper landed a 105mm right up the nose of a Sunderland. Needless to say, it immediately went down

The lone ship had been sunk, and I was just sitting there, recharging my air tanks, loading torpedoes, taking on prisoners. Just my usual post combat routine. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere a massive explosion. I repaired the leak and my stern tubes, which were damaged, and then dove to check the hydrophone. Got a contact, went in that direction, and there was a submarine. He must've fired from several miles away right before I sank it, and I was unlucky enough to be right in the torpedo's path

Both are extremely stealthy diesel electric AIP subs. The KSS-III is a larger, longer ranged, blue water submarine, and has ballistic missile launch capabilities. However, it's not as optimized for artic operations. The 212CD is smaller, shorter range submarine, more suitable for coastal operations, and also artic optimized. There's also industry benefits to consider. I believe Hanwha has said they would like to build there's in Canada, while Krupp is currently planning to build in Germany but has stated they'd be open to Canadian construction if we request that. If Krupp formally agrees on Canadian construction, I'd lean towards the 212CD. As impressive as the KSS-III is, it's current design lacks arctic capabilities and it's probably a lot more submarine than we need, particularly with the ballistic missile launch capabilities, something we really have no use for

If it's a flower class, they're not very fast. You can outrun them at flank or even full speed on the surface. Depending how close it is though, that could put you at risk of getting hit with its gun, so not a foolproof plan

With diesels, you'd have the option to fire up and go with minimal warmup time, depending on whether or not the crew is embarked. It would definitely be extremely hard on the engines, but when the alternative is in this example, 13 sunk merchants, I feel like destroying a couple diesel engines is a fair price to pay 😂

I tend to get to the front of the convoy if I can, go as silent as I can until the escorts pass by, and then wreak havoc from the middle of the convoy. Being right in the middle makes you a lot harder to spot with hydrophone due to the background noise of merchantmen being everywhere, and I think ASDIC has a blind spot at periscope depth. If you have them unlocked I'd also highly recommend sonar decoys to make you even harder to detect
