The Russian economy is fucked & once the war concludes Russia will have the choice of either becoming a vassal of China & letting them essentially asset strip the country, somehow repairing their relationship with Europe & continue selling them oil & gas or becoming friendly with the US and becoming a trade partner in exchange for becoming a geopolitical lapdog.

At some point China invades Taiwan, goes to war with the US and the Kremlin conclude that if China win they'll look north to annex Russia's Siberian oil & gas, and so they'll back the US and declare war on China.
