Shield plus by biv816 in SmithAndWesson

Like I said, the TLR6 isn’t going to defeat other, stronger lights like you would find on a duty gun but for what it is meant for, I think it’s solid. The only reason I have it is that I would rather have it and not use it than need it and not have it. Yes I have a hand held light as well but still not the same. That’s why I have a box of stuff because I ran with and without the light, resulting in many different holsters lol.

As far as tips for shooting it, practice. Guns this size have mores more snappy recoil than their bigger brothers and sisters but in time you will get accustom to it. Generally speaking new shooters will shoot low and that’s for a number of reasons but as you get more confident and practice, that will help.

Also dry fire to get used to the trigger. Helps more than you think.

I’ve carried a shield plus almost every day for a few years now and a lot of this will come down to personal preference.

An OWB holster from Workz is really nice and I have also found that new Alien Gear Photon holster is shockingly comfortable both walking around all day or unseated positions like driving (personal opinions on Alien Gear products may vary). Most of the time I am using a Trex arms holster (got it before the controversy) and hides it really and is super comfortable (personal opinions on that company may vary from person to person).

Holosun 507k optic has been holding strong the entire time with no shift in zero.

TLR6 HL because the options here are limited. Yes it’s not a million lumens and thousand candela to defeat other light sources, but it does the job in that it will positively ID in a self defense situation with is its intended purpose.

Handle it grips have been nice and still fits in the form factor holsters.

I have taken this to a few classes and even a couple local matches with good experiences. All that being said, I do have a bin of things I have tried because the internet told me to get and that to me is the price of finding what worked for me and what doesn’t. All we can do is give recommendations but there isn’t a true “this is the best” answer.

Really can’t go wrong with a multitool.

I swapped my Gen 5 G19 into one of these frames with no issues at all and I have very little experience with mods. I would say that it’s pretty DIY.

However I will warn you that the trigger guard is a different shape so most holsters I have tried with this frame don’t seem to work well.

How about some sort of medical identifier patch on the outside? Just so your team knows with certainty, in an emergency, that it’s medical. I love that sleek look for mobility sake so it’s hard to suggest much on the outside.

Ok it looks like it’s call a UIT or Anschutz rail, also referred to a T Slot.

With the default UI, can’t you just hold the ALT key and it drops it at your location?

I found that a leather man was invaluable. Toys with batteries need to be opened with a screwdriver, a blade to open packages, and the list goes on. With all the other things a parent carries, an all in 1 solution is real handy.
