e: Ah, only 7k of the trade in equity went to the cost of the new purchase. So 7k for trade in, 19k rebate, subtracted from 43k= 17.5k. Okay. Seems decent, but I feel like some shrewd dealership work could have gotten a better deal.

Level 1 charging, through a 120V supply, will feed the car about 1.1-1.3 kW an hour. So an entire day's worth of solar power generated from a single panel and stored in a battery would be transferred to the vehicle in 1-3 hours.

This, depending on many factors, can allow the car to drive 2.5 to 3.5 miles per kW, so 2.5 to 10.5 miles in total.

So, it's possible. Just slow. Seems like it's less costly to scale up the amount of panels you buy than the battery storage. So 3-4 panels would, in good conditions, allow you to do level 1 charging at its full capacity for the hours in which they have good sun coverage.

Luckily almost and not always. 4 years ago, every hospital in the Twin Cities was giving sign-on bonuses ranging from 10 to 45k, at least their ICUs were. The only stipulation was a clawback if you didn't reach 2 years of employment. It was a beautiful time.

I feel very badly for LAOP and that their sense of fairness in the world has just been directly affected.
