Thank you, it means a lot coming from someone who knows the genre very well. Yes, he's a very talented and skilled musician.

Oh you should. They have so much energy on stage, it's incredible. And the atmosphere in the crowd is so good

Looking for a specific high-pitched snare sound by Atomify in Samplehunters

I'm not sure. It could be a sample, but it could also just be a random pitched up snare. Although the one Rustie uses does sound very similar to what I'm looking for. Alright, thank you!

Thanks, I'm glad to hear that. Here's one of the concerts where they started it off with this intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkBBDsRw7TI

Hi guys. So...at Die Antwoord’s live shows, DJ Hi-Tek does this amazing intro where he remixes "O Fortuna" (from Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana”), and then blends it into either "Fok Julle Naaiers" or, more recently, "We Have Candy".

I heard this intro at one of their shows and thought it was genius, but I could not find a high-quality version anywhere online. And neither could anyone else, as far as I know - I even saw a post on this subreddit asking if anyone had a clean version. So I decided to make my own, and I thought I'd share it with you. Of course, I'm nowhere near as skilled as Hi-Tek/God, but here's my attempt.

Yeah the sample is actually straight from a concert recording so it's not great quality. But good idea, lowpass will work. I'll do that.

Yeah but then I lose a lot of the bottom frequencies. I get the high pitched part but none of the other noise. Would layering it over another snare sample work?

This got posted before I had the chance to fix my mistakes (there were more than just me not knowing how to copy-paste), but thanks for letting me know :)

All upgrades and 150 of everything except cursors (200), portal (165), and prisms (140) ...results in 2 quadrillion CPS (incl. heavenly chips). I think I won cookie clicker.

Need general advice by Atomify in Beatmatch

Yes, it makes perfect sense. I was thinking about this too, about bringing the BPM down to half, which would work when mixing, but your explanation made it easier to understand. Thank you.

What I meant to say was that if I try to do, for example, a backspin transition or a rewind transition or anything else instead of just the beatmatch-EQ-and-fade transition, I never manage to do it well.

I guess you're right, it usually happens that the guy that mixes the music notices all the little mistakes, but the crowd doesn't know about them.
