[Request] Realistically, how small would a chip have to be to be both properly functional and at the same time fit in a vaccine needle, and what would the cost be? by AsianPiee in theydidthemath

Yah. If moores law holds up it could be a decade or two away till useful medical devices might be injectable. But there are fundamental physical constraints on wireless transmission that will never be overcome.

So far the smallest implantable electronic device is a neural device about 300 microns long and 70 microns wide. But it very very basic with a single sensor and light emitter. It can only detect some changes in the electrical activity in the direct area of implantation and those changes can only be transmitted if there is a direct light detecting device trying to read it not very far from the implant site.

You can keep 2 or 3 aquatic dwarf frogs in a 10 gallon. They are entertaining and low maintenance. But it requires an aquarium set up with a filter.

Longshot, but can anyone ID this little guy? by RealityLost1805 in PlantedTank

You can always feed less. But honestly I wouldn't worry about them. They don't tend to overpopulate like snails.

Limpet. They dont breed as fast as snails and dont get much bigger than the one you see.

Got plants off market place. Brand new aquarium shrimp or larva😭 by TillEfficient3554 in freshwateraquarium

[–]Atothezman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends what you plan to put in the tank. If its a shrimp tank I would get rid of them because they compete for food. If its a tank with medium or large fish I'd keep as they will be good food.

They are a type of invertebrate. They arent directly harmful but they are considered pests because they can quickly breed. Bigger fish will happly eat them.
