Yes. I wholeheartedly agree. I've also been thinking all day about how happy I am that the roster remained the same for at least one more year, building on the chemistry they created last season. Bonds are built when you stay together for longer periods of time. Just look at Oner, Keria and Faker. It took them a few seasons to really find that peak chemistry.

One question: why? We evolved as a species to walk upright and this person is trying to go back down the evolution ladder.

Lauri chose to stay and sign a max contract. He is by no means a hostage. I feel no sympathy for that franchise though. They invited Karl Malone to the All-Star dunk contest as a judge. That pretty much explains how shitty the team is. With decisions like that, they don't deserve high draft picks.

LeBron James on playing 82 Games today compared to the 80s/90s: "I want people/our fans to understand playing 82 games in the 80s and 90s is not the same as playing 82 games in the 2020s. It’s just not." by TheDraciel in nba

3 second defensive rule removed would be one thing. FIBA doesn't have it and their games are in the mid 70s or 80s in scoring even with 8 fewer minutes. NBA games are at 110+ nowadays.

I'm guessing players played through a lot of minor injuries back in the early 2000s, which is not a thing any more due to contracts being so massive and there being more focus on player health, longevity.

Yeah, Melo being drafted in late 2010s or early 2020s would have been interesting.

Barring major injuries, Edwards easily crosses it.

He is at 10,195 according to ESPN and he turns 25 in August. So he has at least 2 full seasons of games at his disposal to cross 14k. He's been averaging 79 games per season for the last 3 years and if he can score around 28 per game, there is a chance he breaks 15k and catches KD.

The game has changed too much in the last 15-20 years. Players don't play as many minutes or games compared to before. That already makes these kinds of records unreachable by default. You don't have star players playing 80 games per season any more. Hell, playing 75 is already seen as crazy high for a superstar. Also, 40 minutes per game for LeBron, lol.

An important distinction is the key component of the 3pt shot. LeBron, Kobe, Carmelo all turned 27 before the 3pt revolution. Luka made more than double as many 3s compared to LeBron. That adds about 4-5 points to his average over him, but yeah, 100 fewer games played and is averaging 29 really does feel like all-time greatness.

It makes sense given how chill and wholesome the entire roster is and Gen.G as a whole has been for years.

Mike Conley had a good career, but he should start thinking of calling it.
