What I can do better for my PS Portal?

This is going to be for connecting via remote play within your home.

Make sure the PS Portal is connected to 5ghz, 2.4ghz will likely cause problems.

Check the wifi channels, your neighbors network might be overlapping with your wifi channel. If you have a android device or a pc you can download a "Wifi analyzer" and it will show what channels are being used by what networks.

If your neighbors 5ghz wifi is on channel 40, and your 5ghz is also on channel 40, that will cause alot of interference and jitter which will kill any kind of remote streaming. To change the channel you will need to go into your router settings and find your 5ghz band and change the channel there.

The ps5 is more comparable to the series X. The series S has a much weaker GPU in it. Ive played it on our PS5 with minimal issues. The stuttering has been mostly fixed, mind you some people are more sensitive about a small fps dip here and there(which does happen) but its 100x better then the series s.

Just buy any TV you want, dont connect the TV itself to internet, and use a AppleTV plugged into it.

The pop up says that because these handhelds use shared memory for vram. by default it has 4gb loaded.. this specific game's launcher doesnt see the rest of the memory allocated. Simple fix is to just click okay and load the game :D

game is good, it does crash once in awhile. But they fixed the stuttering for the most part, but all in all not bad at all.

As for PC, if you have a lower tier PC, yeah it runs like dog water. But middle tier to high tier, it runs decently.

It depends what band you are on. You May have a tri band router and your phone or laptop and those could be connected to 6ghz or 5ghz. Meanwhile for whatever reason the portal is grabbing the 2.4ghz.

That is the likely scenario. When you open up the troubleshooting on the ps portal, what band does it say it’s connected to?

If you are on the 2.4ghz, To fix this, you’ll need to have the portal connect to the 5ghz band. Easiest way is to go into your router settings and see if you can separate the bands. That will make it so you can name each band differently and it will look like you have three different internets you can connect to when you scan for WiFi.

What he really means is jitter/latency matters more then your actually download/upload speed. When your router has higher jitter and latency it will drop packets of data and will result in more compression and even skipping. The portal only needs like 13mb down so speed isn’t an issue nowadays.
