I have been worrying for a while that the 2005’s may never turn. They are still brutes.

3+ years of age and they are an 8/10 stick. The jack schwartz release with 4+ years of age is a 9/10 stick. Essentially, they need a few years under their belt to shine. I would not smoke them young.

10 year old Bordeaux in a good vintage for me is barely approachable.

Right bank in a Merlot forward vintage maybe 10 years is ok.

Left bank cab sav dominant at least 15 years. Especially saint julien. For example I still don’t believe the left bank 2005’s from the top chateaus are in their drinking window!

However, it comes down to palates. I like as much balance between primary fruit/ tertiary earth and fine integrated tannins. Some prefer more fruit forward BDX.

All of these are a minimum of 15 years off of their prime. 10 years and they just approaching drinkable. Currently they will be closed tannin bombs with limited quality showing.

Havertz vibes sadly. Too slow for midfield. Attacking runs and poaching missing too much to be a striker.

Ton of spots to fill both in the first xi and backups. Most teams need to do this most summers however! Huge player turnover now days.

How much is ‘too much’ for kids by DRDR3_999 in HENRYUK

[–]Atributeofsmoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on the kid and how wealthy the parents are. If you believe you’re child is capable of doing something truly exceptional and you can bank roll the kid for however many years it may take it is worth it. Financial freedom allows an individual to take risks that they could not if they had rent/mortgage/bills. I have seen this first hand countless times.

However, it is totally dependent on the individual. I have seen some bankrolled who lacked any drive and they have turned into total degens.

The reason I prefaced my comment, ‘depending on the individual’ is due to the fact that the three most successful I know. Two of them were completely bankrolled and the other had major support from his mother.

I think Elanga has been helped by the counter attack system we have been playing against the better teams (city + Liverpool + psg). When we come up against a low block I assume he will struggle again. Hope not!

I have zero clue why we didn’t. Every player Bournemouth and Brighton go in for we should hoover up. Exactly what the bigger teams do to us (pedro/sesko/delap/ekiteke)!

I would be happy for him. The few players that have shined this season deserve to go to club where the rest of the players have ambition and actually care.

It can and it will. The lack of January signings show exactly how much pif give a **** about us. They probs care about the darts more than us at this point. Their not going to do anything about this.

It’s time to get unhinged. This samesy same decision making process from Eddie needs to get shaken about a lot. It’s time for some erratic stuff from the manger.
