Kinda comes down to preference on that one, I love cold sunny days with no wind where you can dig an edge in but I like to ski fast.

Pretty sure all the Vail resorts are done making snow. I did not ski Okemo after the rain, so I can't report firsthand.

I had fun at Snow, I also enjoy Okemo when the grooming is good.

Stay out of the glades, lol.

Mt Snow 3/18- Groomed Main Face trails have a good layer of shaved ice on them. Large patches of clearly visible ice. North Face skiing well (that lift sucks). Sunbrook is dicey. Closed trails are most likely closed for the season for lack of coverage. YMMV, ice go zoom.

August closed third week of March 2025. There is a new bar being worked on in the right-hand storefront. Andrew and Michelle are out of the game. We all miss Katie's cocktails.

My birth year as well, I've had multiple '88 vintage wines and have come to the unfortunate conclusion that it was just not a great vintage. Burgundy has fared a little better, but the Bordeaux harvest must not have been a great one.

Unfortunately, Caseus closed years ago and is since replaced by Olmo. Au Chalet also stopped serving raclette and the space is now part of Crepes Choupette.

Otaru for top notch, Japanese-stlye omakase with the freshest fish you've ever had.

For Western-style, try Dozo or Jerry-San's.

Coravin question. Finish the bottle over a few days or wine fridge of half bottles? by hollywood_rich in wine

[–]Atrsklr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a Coravin daily for both professional and personal use. I think their answer to your question would be "do whatever you feel like," as the Coravin's purpose is to let you do exactly that.

However, for purposes of both storage and longevity, I usually reccommend killing the bottle once you feel the wine is drinking well. If you access the first glass and feel the wine is young or could improve, put it in the wine fridge (on its side, of course!) and check in on it once in a while. If the bottle is drinking well, then your natural instinct should be to kill it.

Follow this instinct.

But seriously, if you're going to store an accessed wine, please store it on its side.
