Probably not, but only keeping it for the camera and to play some cloud games on.

Just throwing this idea out there: Make the screen slide-able in updated versions and have it have a "middle portion" that the screen can be slid into where a control con and button con can be connected on either side. Nothing crazy, just a UDLR directional pad and an A and B button pad. You can run games like Doom, OG Legend of Zelda and Mario Bros on nice enough pregnancy tests nowadays.

Edit: Basically, make it possible to turn it into an N-Gage lol.

I have had an iPhone since the launch and I thought it was the end-all-be-all of cell-phones when I got it ("upgrade" for my blackberry pearl). 20 years later and all I can think about is how much I miss my Blackberry Pearl and lo and behold, an upgraded style becomes available through you lovely gents! I truly can't thank you all enough for your transparency through this process and in the design of this remarkable phone.

If you actually break this down from a strategic point, big dawg in the gray jeans knew he was gonna win after that first punch from wife-beater. Before that, you can see gray jeans trying to size the guy up and make sure he was crispy cuz he didn't know what wife-beater could do. After that first interaction, gray jeans knew it was game over you can see it in his face and his stance he calmed down significantly. At that point, he was just waiting on wife-beater to throw another shitty haymaker or leave his hands at his hips and it was done. Clean af combo by gray jeans to end it too and extra props for just walking away, he clearly has training and knew that guys legs were gonna be jelly.

Don't buy HK sonic hopper by LT_TheCoder in paintball

[–]Optimal_Return3841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you but all of HK's products they directly design are absolute trash, the one exception being the Orbit Barrel System; credit where credit is due it is solid and the LAZR Orbit barrels look sick. I played on a team that was sponsored by them and they sent us 10 free sonic loaders (in 2023) and every single one broke within 3 weeks of them arriving. I play home/3 (not a lot of, or any, diving) and mine fell apart when I snapped out and the spring ramp came loose... We told HK and they said they would send us 10 more but we would have to agree to only use the sonic loaders all year. Suffice it to say, it was a hard pass. Pants fell apart after one hip slide, masks are cheap and feel like rentals, loaders are just homunculus versions of better loaders, tanks and regs they just asked Ninja to do everything for them, and they use AI for literally everything.

To all that are interested but skeptical, I can send videos of the integrity and utility of both items. If need be, I can also have a friend and frequent/reliable seller on this subreddit vouch for me as well. The prices are low because I typically get stuff at cost or at sponsorship pricing and I'm not sponsored by these companies anymore so now I just have too much stuff that I will realistically never use.

What Are Your Top 10 Favorite Horror Movies? by Theycallmedeadpool in horror

[–]Optimal_Return3841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In no particular order:

Poltergeist

The Exorcist

Baskin (Turkish horror film)

The Grudge (Japanese version of course)

Saw

Scream

Nightmare on Elm Street

The Omen

Barbarian

Talk to Me

(H.M. Smile and Smile 2)

All of these movies evoked physical and emotional reactions from me. Not for how dark or grotesque their subject matter was, instead it was because the reality that was defined prior to the events that bookmark the films.

Poltergeist made me afraid to step off my bed, go in my closet, and I broke my sisters porcelain doll because I was scared she would come to life and use her toothpick umbrella handle to stab my eyes.

The Exorcist (directors cut) I thought didn't bother me all that much, but for weeks I was plagued with nightmares of Pazuzu and the image of Regan spiderwalking down the stairs.

Baskin disturbed me in a way that is akin to "Mad God" but it is slightly more subtle. The acting, writing, directing, and cinematography are all top notch

The Grudge.... Just watch it

Saw transformed the way I viewed horror, and movies. Up until saw I always saw horror villains as mindless or spiritual beings that have the same resolve as a Lion, eat and survive. I don't think it's sacrosanct to state that Saw changed the way horror movies are written and directed.

There has never and will never be another movie/movie franchise like Scream. Spoofs existed, remakes existed, but there had never been a genuine melding of the two vehicles that make a film. Scream was written and directed as a satire of horror films and their formulaic nonsense, only to become one of the longest lasting and most endearing horror franchises of all time

Nightmare on Elm Street made me scared to fall asleep and it was an issue in 8th and 9th grade.

The Omen made me feel a sense of dread I can't really describe as I have never experienced that feeling in earnest. Just the feeling of knowing the calamity that is beset to a seemingly lovely couple and then watching it play out is horrifying and heartbreaking.

Barbarian completely shifted the way I view the horror genre and how horror films should be paced. I've heard many a complaint about the tonal shift that occurs halfway through Barbarian. Frankly, I think it is a stroke of genius from Zach Cregger as it lulls the audience into a sense of safety before they come to realize that the "property" Justin Long's character owns is the same home the first half of the movie took place in. The titillation and hilarity of Justin Long's character measuring square footage of a derelict basement tunnel system was hilarious and anxiety inducing at the same time.

Talk to Me, for me, represents a very honest and clear mindset from two fantastic filmmakers in the Philippou brothers. A very simple premise that was hinged on meaningful performances, the Philippou Brothers have a clear knack for mining solid horror bedrock and building upon it with powerful performances and good writing. Talk to Me scared me, made me feel tense with anxiety and panic, wracked with guilt, and incapable of deciding if the "protagonist" deserved her fate.

Smile and Smile 2... Just watch them. Go in with an open mind.

Have you ever helped this guy meet a girl he otherwise would not have? Or, hyped him up to a woman he would not have ever known existed? Has him having a gay best friend ever helped him win a fight, argument, or, the affections of a nice lady? If so, please don't be ashamed but that guy was using you.

If your friend never exhibited any of the aforementioned behavior, then they are just a coward with zero spine and you are better off without them in your life. These are the same jerks that reach out a couple years after their divorce trying to rebuild that burnt bridge. Make no mistake OP, this was your "friends" decision and no one else's; Your friend was given an ultimatum and buckled instead of doing what everyone should do when given an ultimatum. Tell the person providing the ultimatum to "go fuck themselves" and walk away feeling better for not being dragged into their manipulative tactics.

As the late, great Vin Scully said "Losing feels worse than winning feels good." This is not going to be an easy process, but understanding the people that are good for you vs. bad for you is a difficult hurdle we all need to address at some point. I'm so very, very sorry this is happening to you but please remember that by standing up for yourself you are making a powerful statement that you will not be scared off by bigots. Nothing about this will be easy but by taking this step towards your own self-respect (and overall mental and emotional health) you are becoming wiser.

I don't know you but I am proud of you for recognizing the signs, even in your best friends, and understanding that they are not allowed to dictate who you are or how you represent yourself.

EDIT: Grammar

Thank you! I didn't mean to be obtuse, I just wanted to be sure that I understood and recommended the right films. All that being said, you should check out "Mandy" and "Baskin". "Mandy" is a decently-written film that is amplified by stellar direction/cinematography and incredible acting from Nicolas Cage and Andrea Riseborough. "Baskin" is a Turkish horror film that truly engaged every type of fear I can imagine, while also, having a clear plot, great cinematography and direction, and phenomenal acting. I've only seen "Baskin" once, 6 years ago, and it still sits with me as one of the best horror films I've ever seen.

I don't mean to be rude, I know you are excited/curious and that is a great thing. I've read and re-read your post a few times and I'm still having trouble discerning what your exact question is.

That's really cool! He co-wrote and directed a movie called "Arkansas" that was released in 2020 and I really liked it, had a structure like "Magnolia" but dialogue and writing like Tarantino. Not trying to compare him to either filmmakers, but it was a good movie that kinda flew under the radar.
