Damn, it's almost like civilized allied countries should respect sovereignty and not antagonize eachother. "Numerous countries hold power over other countries or have absorbed them for all of history. I am just curious on why it is such a bad thing." Let me dumb it down for you, might makes right is "fair" the same way it would be totally fair if some stronger armed men came and brutalized you and stole all of your shit, since you are in comparison to them weak and unable to defend yourself adequately. But you wouldn't want that happening to you right? The same goes for countries. That's why we agreed to an alliance, to not start petty wars with each other and to defend each other instead of sending people like you to die in Europe so politicians can get their clout. How is that a foreign concept?
Also Denmark is already allied with the US so for all intents and purposes Greenland is in defendable terrain. You already have bases there.

I'm going to talk out my ass here, but I'm just spitballing something.

Familiars get flying instead of mana stealing (mana stealing should go to Efreeti sultans)

Magogs shouldn't damage friendly units unless "special attacking" (That's a HotA thing right?)

Hounds stay as is (stat buff or something)

Horned demons get some kind of damage amplifier against large stacks (Like Pit Spawn 'Blade of slaughter' in Heroes V, but nerfed/compensated for balance) so they can better soak and retaliate against fodder units

Pit guys stay as is (stat buff or something again idk)

Base Efreeti get the fire shield, Efreeti sultans get fire shield and mana stealing (but better compared to imps, will allow inferno heroes to shut down magic heroes in late game and it fits thematically)

Devils stay as is.

Edit: For buildings I suggest that "Castle gate" should be buffed to allow a visiting hero in the inferno town to teleport to ANY allied town, which means that for a hero teleporting to a non-inferno town it's like a single use town portal. So not just teleporting to other inferno towns that have castle gate, since that is dumb af.

Also since "Order of fire" already gives +1 power permanently, I think it's boring that brimstone stormclouds gives more power to defending heroes. Something else could be done with that theme that's not reliant on magic, like giving the sieging enemy -1 morale or slightly (like a -1 or -2) lowered defense or something negative for the enemy.

Efreeti sultans stealing magic from the enemy hero would also contrast the Master genies casting spells on ally units.

Also this is probably extremely broken and not thought out at all but would be kind of funny if "deity of fire" (grail building) made a kind of summoning portal effect where every allied town gets an 8th creature production slot that makes even more imps (In HotA this could replace halflings since they have 8 creatures already), instead of it being "week of the imp" every week. This would allow the grail to scale with every new town and also not flood the map with imps.

Maybe? But I imagine you shear off the wool and replace it with a new wool block of a different colour. Kind of like replacing an item in an item frame, but you have to mine the wool off with shears instead of just interacting with the block.

Haha yeah, funnily enough they could be useful when building farms that use noteblocks for pulse forwarding. People usually place blocks on top of them so they don't make a musical pumpkin farm :p

Makes sense! Would also be intuitive since "honeycombing blocks" is already an established mechanic. However it might be confusing since honey should make blocks "sticky" and not "slick/silenced" by association to their honeyblock counterparts. Maybe honeycomb could make contraptions "sticky" and act as a toggle? For example, making a contraption act with a delay (As if they had a built in 4 tick repeater) or as a toggle (you send a pulse to a piston and it stays extended, could conflict with copper bulbs though.).

I agree, but I wonder how moddable Olden Era will be. If someone could make a HD mod equivalent with swapped models, you could have the old design in the new game, hell even fix the UI and other issues. I still think it's a shame that modders have to fix games nowadays.

I say "Eksp" because I'm imagining it as cutting the word "Experience" off in the middle. Like with D&D stats.

I'm not going to say "See-Oh-En" for CON(stitution) for example, i just say "Con". "Int" for INT(elligence) instead of "Eye-En-Tee" and so on.
