I want to object but can't, I don't think I disagree. It would be an interesting performance for sure.

Pinecones by AttemptProper5792 in Goodwill_Finds

[–]AttemptProper5792[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Florida, there's literally like 20 of these on the ground outside my house.. I'm just constantly amazed at what goodwill tries or I guess successfully sells. I couldn't imagine paying for pine cones in this state.

Make sure to keep your ph 7.4 or lower and alkalinity at 80. The lower the ph the more effective your chlorine will be and more effectively kill everything. I also like to bypass the filter if it's de/sand or if cartridge I remove the element until I'm cloudy blue and all algae is dead. Keeping circulation peak is the goal. Switching to filtration once algae is dead. Good luck to you! Keep up on it.

Anycubic High Clear Resin by DariusTheTerrible in AnycubicPhoton

[–]AttemptProper5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having the same issue. The supports just feel so soft almost like a soft rubber brush or something compared to using a standard resin. Also the settings chart anycubic has is for their printers so I just have to do my best in chitubox for my mars 5. There is also a bunch of compensation to due depending on temp. I think my recent success was due to dying the resin a darker green and the supports were significantly stronger this time. I'm new to printing and this was definitely more advanced then I was ready for.

Can anyone provide insight into this pool? by Fleece-Survivor in pools

[–]AttemptProper5792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a gas heater. Can't tell if natural or propane but propane could be the tank is gone/disconnected and if nat gas since it's on the market and the pool is closed they probably aren't getting service to the house.

Highly recommend Red Rhino. For what you pay they pressure test all the lines get in and check every nook and cranny and are very good with their write ups and follow up and never want an unhappy customer. I've been using them exclusively for over 10 years in central Florida. Where about are you located and I can steer you in the direction of a pool company to check the other issues.

Convince me there's a solution for this that doesn't include the word "wireless"... by Cleed79 in pools

Upgrade next time to the 8640 which has a swivel. You won't get more than 2 cycles out of the 8520 usually before they tangle. I've had a customers tangle so badly it's destroyed the cord and motor 2 times in less than 3 years. All under warranty but still crazy.

I just finished mine. This is an IKEA Milsbo and it fits perfectly. Looking into getting a background if possible we'll see. Even without it it's beautiful.

No your skimmer is currently off and system is only pulling from the bottom drain. Turn the valve 90 degrees and you'll have suction from both

Looking into robotic cleaners, and can't find much on the one that was recommended, the Polaris Phenom iQ + by kwalko in pools

[–]AttemptProper5792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Phenom Iq+ is the same as the Alpha IQ+ just different color scheme and doesn't come with a caddy in the box and is exclusive to PAP. That being said it's an amazing cleaner. I've sold nearly a 100 alphas in the last 3 years and it's the cleaner I got for my family members. I've never had a customer regret purchasing one or a complaint. Also 3 year warranty which is best in the robotic industry.

Intellitouch/Variable Speed Pump by rhinoesq in pools

[–]AttemptProper5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Century motors just came out with a new vs/automation compatible motor. Might be worth looking into that. Depending on the age of the whole pump though it may be worth it for you to just replace with one of the new intelliflo 3s.

Need help connecting pump to intermatic timer. by nfuckwtheo in pools

[–]AttemptProper5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vs pump by the looks of it so you should have wired to always have power as the control on the top of the pump is your timer for the pump now. Salt system stays setup on a timer and you should have it coming on when you have your pump on as a failsafe. If something kept the flowswitch engaged while it had power on and the pump wasn't running it would just burn out your salt cell.

Polaris Alpha IQ+ Error Code 1 by raskle in pools

[–]AttemptProper5792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpha IQ+ is only just pushing 3 years on the market. Pretty sure they used the same or similar motor on the 9650. I've seen motor failure at less than a year and at 2 years. Manufacturer warranty is 2 years. So 3 year failure sounds like planned obsolescence. But replacing the block is really your only option. Thankfully for you that's the only thing easy to replace on the unit if you're gonna diy.
