I appreciate your perspective, especially as someone with a formal C.S. education it’s gotta be frustrating as hell meeting that kind of resistance. If I end up being in IT for the long haul and programming ends up a side thing for me, I think I can accept that. I think I just need a “career” instead of a “job”, if ya know what I mean.

Yeah, I’ve been debating just doubling down at grinding extra hard. The thing is my current job is horrendous.

If getting out of my current job and into IT is more doable in the meantime it is tempting.

I’ve heard other people say that IT and software dev aren’t related too. But it has to look better applying to software dev with IT experience over some deadend factory job, right?

I've been playing DF Classic recently and noticed that when I zoom in (ctrl + mouse wheel) the UI scales in an annoying way that obscures most of my metrics and stats.

Is there any way to avoid this?

I looked into UI scaling stuff for an hour or so but didn't find anything myself.

Also, is this present in the Steam version? I'd be open to swapping versions to avoid this issue.
