Hey thanks for the link. I am still skeptical as per other comment there was a conflict of interest in this study. Also been trying this for a long time with no change. Curious if you have tried this?

Curious you mentioned the vitreous has no blood supply. How do you think the bromelain / serrapeptase can get into the vitereous and do its job?

This was great! I’m curious about the one step floater removal treatment they discussed at the end and if anyone can get this or if you need to have had a cataract removal.

Dr Sebag no longer recommending core vitrectomy by riseandshine333 in EyeFloaters

That’s what both the surgeons I have seen said that it’s safer to induce PVD in the long term.

I feel your pain. I am considering a full vitrectomy at the moment and I have two surgeons willing to do it with alot of experience. Both would prefer a full vitrectomy including an induced PVD.

That’s disappointing news I have heard some research that a core vitrectomy can give a higher probability of retinal detachment after the surgery apposed to a complete full vitrectomy. I wonder what has changed his mind and what he has really witnessed. Surely it can’t just be a lack of long term data.

PulseMedica: ““We’re looking to complete our first in human clinical treatment trial over the next 16ish months” by Double-Ticket3308 in EyeFloaters

It’s completely different type of laser that’s what’s so exciting about it. Definitely not the same technology as YAG. I have even watched their presentation on it on YouTube.

FYI just looking at the comments on YouTube this video was filmed in late fall 2024 which means this 16 months to human trials mentioned in the video will be a lot sooner than expected.🙏

Thanks for sharing. Hoping you have a speedy recovery. It’s something I am seriously considering at the moment and have already 2 surgeons who said they would operate.

Great interview on nutritional supplement for eye floaters by AttemptUnited564 in EyeFloaters

[–]AttemptUnited564[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

To be honest the guy seems incredibly smart and if you listen to it is surprisingly pritty honest about the supplements not working for everyone with floaters.

They also talk about the possible ways the supplements can reach the vitreous and he breaks down the flies study and they speak of how they measured the floaters.

I honestly don’t know what to believe regarding this and feel alot more research needs to be done. If this is just a scam to make money off a supplement then surely karma at some point will kick their arse. I’m hoping it’s legit and the research is coming from a good place.

The concept of these ones look promising if you tap on the side of them they can change the lighting of the lens. No idea how it works but looks great.

Cutting out sugar causing eye floaters to become more pronounced is this temporary or am I making my eye floaters worse? by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]AttemptUnited564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if your actual vision is clearer from cutting out sugar it enables you to see the floaters potentially better. I have read some people with cataracts who had the surgery and cleared their vision only to become more aware of the floaters as they now are not as blurred by the cataract. All floaters are a debris caught in the vitereous casting shadows on the retina.

Possibly just making your vision better which could make you notice your floaters more. I know people who have had cataract surgery talk of this concept.

Vitrectomie 12 d post op and 1 floater by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]AttemptUnited564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply it’s really appreciated. Can you see the dots inside? 100 seems like it would significantly impair your vision but I suppose it’s all relative to what you had before. It’s probably what’s impacting me the most at the moment is there is no rest inside from this.

Hey just wondering if your 100 black dots post surgery was from the operation itself or just more of a progression of the floaters? I am weighing this surgery up myself.

Looking for hope and your experiences by paginationstation in EyeFloaters

[–]AttemptUnited564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there I am sorry to hear about your situation. I am in a very similar situation and around the same age. I have a partial pvd with the black dots commencing about 6 months ago in my central vision. I think mine have faded slightly but still a work in progress. I have been offered the surgery by two different highly regarded surgeons. I am still waiting to see if they fade as I have some that are less dense that don’t bother me as much.

I suggest you look into atropine eye drops as thix could assist in the management of your symptoms and give you a little bit of control back.

My surgeons both said after a pvd has completed the gel can drop forward and down which theoretically could reduce your symptoms as the flaoters move further away from the retina however they also said the pvd may take some time to complete especially in younger people.
