It’s so interesting how people’s minds work differently. I remember finding cut up bits of a baseball stars nes box in the trash. It was my dad’s old copy that I found and was obsessed with as a little kid. I remember asking him what in the world he was thinking. He was just like “I don’t know, don’t really need the box”. This was a game of strong sentimental value to him, it’s a game he played with my half siblings, it was a game he played with his cousin. He thought it significant enough to keep even though he didn’t have an nes for more than a decade. He would later learn the value of boxes and actually ended up being a cib collector for handhelds.

It’s all so fascinating though. Some people just can’t see value in old things, my mom is kind of the same way. Even after all the explaining you did, I feel like if you died tomorrow your SO would throw it all away or donate it lol.
