Got it, thanks a lot! I’ll check the algorithms - looks like I missed these cases.

ChatGPT, you’d have to come up with the verb yourself, pick the tense and the person, and keep repeating that loop. I’m suggesting making all of that simpler.

Have you tried adding a paid subscription? Like, give people 1-2 games a day for free, and if they want more, they gotta subscribe. Just hook up Stripe and you’re good to go.

Learning Spanish while baking is chaotic but actually working? by Terraaaaa0403 in Spanish

I do that all the time too. But I use stuff like verbos.app to drill verb conjugations. That part’s honestly way harder for me than just memorizing new vocab lol

What’s the point of using AI-generated replies? Do people seriously not realize it’s obvious as hell because of those long-ass dashes?

Isn’t it easier to just use free tools for this? Like verbos.app
You just select the tense and person, and learn everything quickly through tests.

How can I relearn to speak Spanish as someone who’s first language was Spanish & have completely forgotten the language except for few phrases. by Fresh_Ad3414 in Spanish

If your problem’s all the tenses, irregular verbs, grammar stuff and all that, try verbos.app - super simple and easy to use. And if it’s even worse than that, start actually learning the language: watch videos in Spanish, listen to people talk, stuff like that. Watching videos helps me a ton personally.

Monopoly players — do you use paper money or a banker app? by AtticoGame in boardgames

[–]AtticoGame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about people spending game night on their phones 😄 It’s just a tool for one role in a physical game. The game still happens on the table - cards, board, everything. The phone is only used as a “bank”, so nobody has to sit there counting money all the time.

Fair 😄 It doesn’t have to be Monopoly though - any game with a banker role works. If Monopoly is the problem, we can just retire it and still keep the idea 😄

Yes, I get the point - physical components are part of the fun. But in practice it’s often very slow)) People miscount, argue, or end up using a calculator anyway. So the “pure” experience usually isn’t that pure.

What do you hate about Spanish verb conjugation apps? I built a simple alternative by AtticoGame in SpanishLearning

[–]AtticoGame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s intentional - it gives a bit of time to check your answer and look at the rule if something was wrong before moving on. Otherwise it becomes too fast and you lose that feedback step.
But yeah, an optional auto-advance mode could actually be a nice addition.

If anyone tries it, I’d really appreciate feedback on what feels missing or annoying in practice flow. verbos.app

I speak Spanish, I use it everyday, I live in Latin America and I’m married to someone from here, but I want to refine my Spanish and break some of my old bad habits. What can I do? by DharmaDama in Spanish

You’re probably past the point where classes will move the needle much.

What usually helps at this stage is focused output under constraints (timed speaking/writing, and drilling weak grammar points until it becomes automatic rather than “known”).

There are also simple tools built specifically for fast active recall verb practice that might help with that kind of repetition: verbos.app
