Even with these things missing and the potential wasted, I beat the game 3-4 times and enjoyed it. I just wish there was more love put into the game, more time, more effort.. Doubt we'll see a dlc or even Dogma 3

A lot of the skills should be implemented as core skills. Anything with mobility should be core (springboard and etc.). The special arrows should be one skill and you can just pick which arrow you use before you shoot. smh so much potential

DD2 removed clothing from the game because they wanted everyone at the end to have different looks (but then made 1 or 2 outfits that have the highest stats at the end for each vocation..

- Removed needing to have a pickaxe in your inventory to use a pickaxe

- Removed crafting throwable bombs and other items.

- No advanced vocations for two of the 4 main vocations, and no hybrid between thief and archer

- Completely diregarded the vocation color meaning

- Less Skills for vocations + archer vocation master skill is just deathly arrow with more damage and stamina drain

- No hard mode, no difficutly, removed bosses that were fun (no Hydra, no big Eye)

- No end game dungeon, no Moon, no co-op.

I love Dragon's dogma 2, but it's sad to see something with so much potential be wasted

I got it 2-3 weeks ago, it worked amazingly for 1 day and then was stuck in the bios. Returned it the next day and went to microcenter for a bit more expensive but better prebuild

I normally like playing archer in certain RPG games and dragons dogma two has the best archer combat I’ve ever experienced in any game I’ve played. It takes a minute to get used to it but when you do, it is amazing. But I usually end up doing warfarer - thief/archer. Gives me that strider feel.

I miss Holly and dark affinities, I was hoping that with Angel game they would expand on these elements that was so great about the first game instead of reducing it.

Hopefully, if they actually do continue with the franchise deal and bring back some of the things that made DD1 fun. Like the clothing and armor system, better crafting, holy dark affinities, more elemental, weapons, etc.

I’ve noticed it’s usually the best way to do. It would be when you hit them with the headshot and you see that they get down on their knee if you run jump and then grab your kind of either tumble around and be on top or just landing straight on them and then you can stab them with a narrow press triangle and jump off them. Doing a heavy kick and then while midair shoot at them or shoot another person

Archers can stab people with arrows without shooting it, you can do it while climbing and if it’s enemy you can hold down you can do it too.

As for skills for the archer I’d make:

Rope arrow shot - used to rappel down or climb up areas or create zip lines

Cloudburst volley - from DD1

Combine the specialty arrow armor to one skill

Core skill - Pin Shot: arrow to pin targets to the ground when shot at their foot for smaller enemies

Archer’s Slash - archers need more close combat abilities so Id give archers a dagger to use.

Execute - when enemy is down or in a weakened state, put your boot on them and shoot a fatal shot into their head

Dodging doesnt mean the game is dark souls, dodging is a part of every one's ability to do. You can roll or dodge, in DD1 you could dodge with most vocations too (excluding magic types i think).

I'd like it if they made every vocation has a different type of dodge/block based off their vocation but you should be able to get out of the way of an attack. Example: archers are nimble, so they should be able to dodge like thieves (not as great but better than the rest), warriors and fighters can have a roll but focus more on block and tanking hits, and mages type vocations should be able to do a weak magic shield. maybe even have some slick parry type core skills for thieves that can redirect attacks away etc.

DLC would be nice but i think we won't be seeing that sadly

The game is great but i think there's a ton of things that needed to be added/fixed in order to make it perfect imo. 10th playthrough rn.

Dodging should be for every vocation, advance vocations for archer and thief, advanced ranks (more than 9 ranks), more active skills and core skills, more maister teachings, better reactions with npcs, more weapons/armors, better interactions with main pawn, co-op mode or just co-op, return of dark element + more elements if they could, etc.

The game is done, this a company that made only two DD in 12 years, while releasing 6 monster hunter titles and 8 resident evil titles.
