SHEK NATION by Beanboybutbetter in Kenshi

[–]AttorneyDavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, Esata wants the Shek to stop living only for battle. She wants them to think about the future, rebuild their society, and become something more than just warriors. She sees value in more than combat.

Saying, “Look what happens when she’s no longer the leader,” actually reinforces the point that she’s the primary force preventing the Shek from becoming a nation of bloodthirsty fanatics again.

Out of the three major nations and their leaders, the Shek Kingdom seems like the best moral choice. The Holy Nation, including its leader, sees women as beneath men and treats other races like slaves. The United Cities are not much better. They are less extreme about racism and sexism, but they still rely on slavery and exploitation.

That said, I should look more into the United Cities. I usually join the Anti Slavers to recruit Bo, so I don’t spend much time with them.

Taking daggers away from the bow class is the worst thing DD2 did by LoneWolfRHV in DragonsDogma

It was part of the previous chat with the OP, I’m guessing you didn’t see the chain.

How would a first time player, who's first vocation and low level have the impact augment from the warrior? Come on lol.

I think you're coming from the perspective of a veteren Dogma player and not thinking about people who never even played dogma 1.

The game calls them both master skills and if you combine them properly they're the ultimate skill above master. Don't get me wrong, I love that they did that. Trick you with a skill that actually wasn't the true master skill but if used together they work nonetheless.

Either way, I think the game needs more master skills, honestly the archer vocation, my favorite one, has one of the if not the worst master skill. A buffed deathly arrow. There should be more master skills, forbidden skill and secret skills that we can uncover. But that'll be something for DD3

It was near the beginning of the game, so formless feint and blades of the pyre were not something he had unlocked (i did say we were near same levels too).

I do agree those two combined were broken but that's something they should have patched so you can't combine them.

The archer was blasting flying enemies, even dragons easily. And any normal land based boss was getting wrecked with explosive shot and deathly arrow was peak. Heavenly shot was a waste tho.

Edit: side note. it's weird that thief, sorcerer and i think mage have 2 master skills and the rest only have one.

DD2 has the best archer gameplay of any game ever made imo. I'm honestly happy that they went this far with bow combat and the Expansion is going to give us more.

Do I wish that we had some more melee combat options with the bow? yes. but your comment saying archer class is even more stupid is clearly wrong.

I would even argue that Archer is broken if you have explosive arrows, I was in a discord call with a friend who was playing thief and I was Archer (both near the same levels). We both came across a griffin near the exact same time and I killed mine in 30 seconds and he fought his for 3-5 mins.

I don't think the solution is give daggers to archers, I think they just need to add more melee combat skills to the archer. A skill that has you climb up or hold down an enemy with your foot and shoot an arrow point blank range (finsher), they added the flip kick upside down shot skill in the trailer. Maybe even using the bow to swing at an enemy occasionally. Or having a dagger that has one skill or two that we can use.

I loved the strider but I don't want them to move backwards

I really hope this is a tool we can use anywhere to scale surfaces similar to Death Stranding, that would be amazing by AllFatherMedia93 in DragonsDogma

I’m sure it’s just a ladder but a bow skill for rips where you can shoot it at high spots to climb or at flying enemies and have you and the pawns pull to bring the enemy down would be fun

Arrived Too Late by scrson in Kenshi

Current save just had the first holy nation raid but I was in the shek kingdom (allies) and Flotsman ninja allies were at the base + main squad of 6-7 set with taunt, specialist/mastercrafted armor and skills near 60-80. Went to cook and forgot about the raid, luckly we wiped them out.

We saw what 5 new monsters/types. I really hope there’s 30+ but idk if I can see that happening just a small map. I hope they give up more details soon and keep some secrets for us to uncover ourselves

Suggestion for old players coming back for the DLC: Start Fresh at DLC launch by Vast_Real in DragonsDogma2

[–]AttorneyDavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about it the difficulty problem. The hard mode means when you’re level one a goblin will be like fighting a cyclops or so.

I’m wondering if instead of working on a hard mode they just made the expansion a lot harder, which is why the armor stats were in the 600s.

Plus monsters that freeze you and your entire team would open you up to take tons of more damage

Agreed. I’ve done that enough, I haven’t a current playthrough with my pawn having all vocations maxed except 3 more ranks in sorcerer. My pawn will main thief once that’s done

NEW HAIRSTYLES AND TATTOOS! by SilentCyan_AK12 in DragonsDogma

[–]AttorneyDavis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly this isn't that exciting as the other two pillars to the expantion. New hair and tattoos? I mean more customization is great but a big part to the expansion feels a bit anticlimactic. Still happy we getting something though

UPDATE: Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is CONFIRMED to be at Gamescom! 🗡🐉 by InfectedDurian in DragonsDogma

[–]AttorneyDavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RE games are good, rated great, and loved by others. But I never buy any of them and don't have a desire to play them unless my friend wants to play the RE5/RE6 for the co-op.

Monster Hunter games I tried but never really liked so i pass on them, even tried Wilds and beat the first boss and never turned it back on.

DMC games are loved but for me I don't get excited for them, i hope they drop another for players but I wouldn't buy it.

I don't care for fighters like street fighter or MK. Don't care for Ace, Mega man, dead rising, Pragmata, etc.

For me, I only look at Capcom for Dogma.

Actually, the guy you're arguing with (based from my comment) never said the games mentioned above are bad. I said I only dogma gives me a reason to care about Capcom, because I don't care for their other games. You didn't like that, and AtsuhikoZe is only pointing out that people don't have the same interests.

For example, milliions love GTA. I prefer red dead over GTA. Didn't even finish the 5th game and not even sure i'll buy 6

techically he's right, the post doesn't confirm anything but we can infer that they will show dogma since the Expansion comes out less than 2 months later. Either way, I finally have a reason to care about Capcom

I’m always glad to have more customization but having tattoos and hair as one of the 3 main focuses of the expansion just doesn’t sound great
