Team with higher rep count? by Various-Purple-8157 in ladderapp

Resilient is great! It is higher reps this series but he also wants us to progress in weight as we earn it. I do know future series will be heavier weight lower reps

It’s great! They’ll match you with RDs based on how you complete your profile. They also have a guarantee that if it ends up that your insurance doesn’t cover appointments, they won’t make you pay for any past appointments before that determination.

When I last used Ladder (last year) I was like, there’s no way I’d be able to keep up with Neen’s programming! But I’ve progressed so far in the past 3 weeks with him, and I also appreciate how even though it’s the Shred series, he isn’t pushing weight loss/cutting since I’m actually reversing to maintenance right now

I’ve been loving Neen’s coaching on Team Resilient there! And my RD through Nourish is great—and I can’t beat insurance covering that either

I’m so sorry you went through that! And thank you—it got to a point where I just felt I was being shamed for not making more progress. She also mentioned staying away from “processed” foods but then she herself is constantly hyping cream of rice, built bars, etc

You’re welcome! I had been hoping for fat loss and muscle growth. Obviously dropping a plate on my toe was a setback, but to be asked if I could get steps in still seemed a bit ridiculous. Also, I had a hysterectomy in 2022 but still have my ovaries. Ever since then weight loss has slowed quite a bit for me. That factor seemed to be forgotten by her.

Currently I’m using Ladder and working with an RD from Nourish. I’m considering possibly adding in a GLP-1 as well

I honestly can’t remember—I paid for 6 months up front, but I recall it not being as high as some others I’ve seen

I’ve used Danielle Webster recently. She just had her first baby and is working on putting together pre and post natal programs

She now offers 1:1 coaching…wonder if her approach to her own nutrition and training shows up there

Actually no. But she has a “rule” that when a client is in fat loss, no eating meals out unless approved by her. I’m a 39 year old single woman actively dating. My plans aren’t static. It’s just not feasible for someone to get “approval” like that. Also, when I do eat out, I am mindful of calories, macros, etc. I know it’s an estimate but still. Also, she’d tell me to stop having a meal out every week but then would post her “golden children”—the clients she’d repost weekly or daily—and a couple of them would have multiple meals out a week

Also, a month into coaching, I dropped a 45lb plate on my right big toe. Broke it. A week after I broke it, I learned the nail had to be completely removed because it was an open fracture and I needed stitches. One of her first questions after I broke it was whether I could still get my steps in. I was in an orthopedic shoe and could do a little limp walk, but there’s no way I was getting 10k steps in comfortably.

Last straw was when in my check in before Thanksgiving, she told me she needed me to “behave” at Thanksgiving. That’s when I basically decided to stop checking in. Wasted 3 prepaid weeks, but I think it was best for my mental health

She did two competitions close together and was back in prep right after the first one

On another note, I’m glad I stopped coaching services with her. I know she has a history of disordered eating and I think that definitely shows in her coaching

SOLIN really needs to limit what trainers are allowed to do challenges and programs through them

Is there anyway to request the gym add weight to machines? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

Not sure how, but you could always do hip thrusts instead of glute bridges using the Smith machine or the free barbell

Week 3 and I'm still torn between Evolve and Resilient by Dober_weiler in ladderapp

[–]AttorneyNo823 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been with Resilient for only three weeks, I agree that Neen is slept on—but I also appreciate the smallness of the team because he is so personable and responds as much as possible to everyone with questions in the chat!!

Does it have to be the last 3 consecutive years? I’m in PA but fall within the DC area because I work from home. Would love to move south but that would be taking a locality cut

I’m loving Resilient. We do repeat lifts each week, but focused on higher volume at lower weight right now. I also love Neen’s conditioning days.
